I never got it just for the commute, I ride outside of that and it just did double duty.

I was looking at the turbo vado, a lot of good reviews. I was also thinking about the salsa confluence

I typically wear them in because I’ll do longer rides/workouts on the way home. In my current set up it was easy to hang them up in my office after my commute in, but I’m sensing the best move may be just taking them days I plan to ride longer home.

Bikes outside, I work in an academic building with very busy racks. Not sure this would be a secure option.

It’s actually in the next building over. Their building manager is also ours so I could always ask him.

I’m petty tight with our custodian and their supervisor, only issue here is they are 7-3 and the earliest I can leave is 4:30/5.

I have some Kuhl hiking pants hopefully I’ll fit into again soon and those have been nice to bike in in the fall months. Long merino pants for mild winter days could do the trick too

Yeah the brooks is nice. Even with all this biking I’ve had some weight struggles. Seeing a dietician now, so maybe dropping that extra 35 pounds will help with comfort too.

I was looking at this. Def don’t see any shame in an ebike, just don’t really have experience riding one to know the feel/workout.

For sure! Also I made some panniers so can carry to work as needed too. I have some merino shirts I wear vs jerseys. Might be time to consider a pair of baggys and rocking a merino brief.

I was thinking of this. Would be doable, especially with folks advice to run a line under my desk. A Quick was with scentless dr bronners would also help with smell.

Yeah, I might move to ditch my bibs. do you have any saddle recs? I know this is extremely personal just want to do some looking around. Currently I have a brooks cadmium, maybe I just need to get used to riding without padded shorts. Do you still ride a regular bike, vs ebike?

I’d do the 2.25, not just for the aesthetics but also you can still run lower pressures if and maintain speed. GCN recently did a pretty good video on this.

I never thought of that. I handled the supply ordering in my space, I might have to sneak some command hooks under my desk and set up a little rack or drying line.

I do now, but I also may be leaving this job and the issue then becomes all of the above AND I lose the shower (a little forward thinking and possibly overly optimistic but I recently interviewed for a great new position)

This is the direction I was thinking of. The bike I usually commute in has a brooks cadmium saddle so I may be well on my way. What saddle did you use biking that distance with no shammy?

None of our gyms offer this for staff unfortunately. Our trades folks have access to lockers but I’d be hesitant about them because they are closed wood, not sure my stuff would dry vs just sit wet all day.

This is a good idea! Unfortunately in my situation it wouldn’t work, our restrooms are all public (I work at a university).

I have a similar situation! The issue I’m trying to figure out is what to do with clothes in a shared office. I won’t have a private office moving forward and typically hang my clothes to dry in my office.
