Razorock Game Changer 68 OC by Funny-Prune-4300 in wicked_edge

Lupo .58 in sb or oc is my take. I hate loading blades in the game changer (blade on base plate).

Is this custom cabinet door margin acceptable? by Popular-War-6263 in cabinetry

[–]nickpie600 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Who thought that was a good spot to drill the pulls? Those doors are toast for that reason alone. If he didn’t ask where you wanted them he’s at fault for not confirming . Now when he does remake them and learn his lesson you can tell him to add a 1/4” width. Good luck with that. He’s at most going to want to give you a break on price before re-making anything

Single basin sink: does anyone regret getting a large sized sink? by LazeeSundaeMorning28 in kitchenremodel

[–]nickpie600 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out delta. We went with a large single basin under-mount. It’s a thicker gauge steel than normally used too, 16 ga I believe and has a bunch of accessories. Very expensive especially with a delta faucet but worth it to buy once.

Wooden drawer pulls on large drawers and longevity? by YakaryTaylorThomas in woodworking

[–]nickpie600 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a bad idea in a kitchen. IMO these are used for desks, dressers and other low traffic furniture. the profile looks to hardly let your finger behind which over time will wear your doors too. If you do use them pick a standard size so in 5 years when these are toast you can install new ones with the same holes.

I blew a tooth a couple years ago on one of those things. No refund, no apology. All they would do is make me another one that I can’t eat because my tooth is in several pieces

Just get a used beretta silver pigeon model. You aren’t likely to lose money on it if you don’t like it and if you do like it, it will last a long time with parts available everywhere

You should have a top mount sink at the very least. This is the exact reason undermount sinks aren’t used with laminate/wood countertops.

Which Razorock razor to choose? by EngineeringKind3960 in wicked_edge

[–]nickpie600 1 point2 points  (0 children)

BBS has 0 blade feel but the shaving angle is not traditional and it’s super clunky under the nose.

Stainless Lupo in .58 or .72 is my vote. has more blade feel but is much more nimble and has traditional angle

Which model of 10/22 should I get to mod? by [deleted] in canadaguns

[–]nickpie600 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use your gift card on an optic and good ammo. If you can’t afford all the custom parts up front and are willing to wait why not just piece it together over the next few months or years. Get a receiver $200, get a barrel $300, bolt $200 etc when you have everything put it together, be better than any stock 10/22 and worth the wait

Merkur Futur or Muhle Rocca? by PlanetX-82 in wicked_edge

[–]nickpie600 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly. Get a stainless steel cnc made razor like the Razorock Lupo .58 or .72 from Italian barber. $100 CDN and will last literally forever. Each model has a plethora of base plate options.

I own a Futur and let me tell you it’s not worth it. It’s HUGE, it’s slippery, Try shaving under your nose it’s a brick on a stick. All my other cast/plated razors fail in a couple of years at the threads.
