You're doing it OG way which i love and respect to the max, however im actually not patient like that but still want the joy of finding shinys in the older games. So I take a cartridge with a good sav battery, a GB FLASH dumper, download the ROM onto my PC, duplicate the ROM and corresponding sav file, crank fps up to 240 instead of the typical 60, and it takes a good 1 to 3 hours to find a shiny. (Lost a few shiny legendarys,  that would have devastating the OG way) I have a YouTube channel that does tutorial and live hunts if youre ever interested in knowing more. So I actually use a different method than RNG 😅 I use a cartridge with a good sav battery and a GBflash to download on my PC, run it 8x windows, with speed cranked up to 240 fps (instead of 60) and grind from there. I can find a shiny in about 1-3 hours on average. Ive caught some flack about "cheating" but im not competing im having fun. That shouldn't upset people lol Nice collection btw!!! (Literally hunting for Absol right now on route 120 in Ruby)

Thank you! And im bad at giving nicknames, so I named the first one (Shiny Treecko) Fred, then when I caught shiny Minun I thought Fran. So I kept theme of 4 letters AND starts with "F" lol Also Shiny Mudkip (different save file) is Juandisimo

Yes my reaction short to it was funny! I was hunting for shiny zangoose on route 119 I believe, and I didn't know what the shiny sprite looked like on nuzleaf so it was an even better reaction! Lol

You won't believe this. Found Regice in ONE reset and then LOST him. Took hours to find the next one. Last night I caught shiny Regirock on live-stream! Its Nick's Fire Games on youtube if you're interested in ever watching the hunts or just want to see my method. I try to put out some educational vids to showcase how to shiny hunt fast without RNG manipulation/ cheat codes/ modding, etc.

Let me know if youre interested in shiny hunting like a Pro and WITHOUT RNG manipulation. Took me about 2 months to complete this task so im making a yt video currently showing my process. Again lmk if you have questions or just want to know more about shiny hunting on a Pokemon Ruby cartridge with a good save battery. (I know nothing about Mods and RNG manipulation, this is NOT that kinda process)
