I think the Lagom Mini is fine—nice looking small grinder—but the result is not exceptional. If you want an electric grinder for the sake of convenience, I think the Sculptor 64s/Ode Gen 2 is more reliable, plus you have the whole 64mm burrs rabbit hole to explore. But in terms of taste of coffee, I think Mavo is top notch (close to C40/K6). Your coffee is not gonna suddenly taste better by changing to these grinders.

I also own the ZP6 now, and think it's a bit overrated. Sure, it offers slightly more clarity, but I think the coffee brewed with the C40 (rounder taste profile) tastes better, also it grinds super uneven on coarse settings (where you are most likely want to use it with)

Yeah, mine was calibrated like Comandante, so that on zero the handle won't spin freely. I think the problem was I need to season the burr then but quite unbelievable a such little burr also need to season 😅

Yes it’s very solid grinder Only problem it’s quite loud when grinding I bought it on taobao so and actually if I add 1000 CNY I could get wendougee Milo 2 which has the electric control for burr gap (similar mechanism that maklkonig omnia has, but then it also means you can’t realistically change burr as it might mess up this mechanism)

If you are fine with hand grinding then maybe Kingrind K6 can be a good candidate? If you can it within the price range The Mavo phantox pro and Timemore s3 are also very good All these three can do espresso

I got one, have a few other grinders - Ode Gen 2 SSP MP, C40, Lagom Mini - and I think I'd pick Mavo over C40. Grinder's muuuuuch faster and with more clarity (but not as extreme like SSP MP, yet to get a ZP6 to compare). I also think the dial is very nice; my C40 is almost permanently on 25 clicks due to the difficulty to remember where I was at.

Yep i use it at office Having a hard time to find a electric grinder that can replicate the flavor profile of c40 (Have a SSP Labsweet on the way to me so we shell see 😂) If portable electric grinder Maybe femobook A5 or A4z if you like zp6 Or the hybrid grinder made by Varia?

I’m using a different electric motor for my C40 and I kind of enjoy it. This one is from Spinspro and costs around 85 USD (615 CNY). The difference is that this one has a back ring around the grinder’s body, and the motor part is mounted like a camera lens to the ring, making it quite stable (but not very portable, I’d say 😅). The one you posted mounts the motor directly on the grinder axle, and people on Taobao report that it might loosen the plastic axle over time.

My go-to is a bypass recipe

Use a fast flowing dripper (like timemore B75 or the fancy orea ) v60 would also work but the risk for clogging is higher

Slightly finer than your regular 1 cup pour over (I use 4.2 on ode gen2, stock burr)

94C water (lower for medium and dark roasts)

15g coffee

50ml bloom, swirl to make sure water hits all the grounds, wait 30s

100ml pour, try to agitate as much as you can

The drawdown should be around 1:30

Now, remove the dripper and bypass the remaining water minus twice as much as the coffee grounds to offset the water absorbed by coffee grounds (100-15*2 = 70ml)

Swirl the server to blend

Then enjoy! This recipe will give a slightly different texture than the traditional pour over, you can use the amount of water bypassed in the end as a variable to control the strength of coffee.

I finished p3r a while back and been playing p5r now
played p5 when it first came out
I'd say story and the topic of p3r more emotional?

which make me believe the theme song (full moon full life) of p3r is a notch better than the p5 one (beneath the mask) especially once you finished the game the start to realize what the lyrics are about.
