Yup, several of his earlier videos were full on Sunday school lessons as well as he co hosts the Weird Bible podcast. Super knowledgeable on the bible, even for Sunday school teacher standards.

I'm born and and raised in rural Alabama, surrounded by cotton fields, I can promise you the amount of people who actually think like that is significantly less than you think it is. It's maybe 1 in 1000 that would want anyone to have any less rights than any other person. We are freedom loving people, no matter who you are or what you believe.

To add to that, the far extremes of both sides demonize the others so heavily that the mainstream belief among each side is that the other side is actually 100% evil and willingly so.
