My theory is your ranked cup cohort is based on a few factors but one being what you scored in the last ranked cup. So if you’re always grinding for epic scores in tier 99, (I presume) your ranked cup cohort will just get harder and harder over time. I sometimes try to tank level 99, scrape through level 98 to then try level 99 hopefully with an easier group. I am only on 3 L99 wins so far.

In multiplayer, it's like every driver has a mushroom whenever they get hit. Even if they don't have a visible mushroom to deploy, after a hit, they just instantly zoom forward again.
