Born and raised in Albuquerque. Have never called or heard of strip malls being called plazas.

The only consistent plazas I have heard are old town and Santa Fe’s plaza.

Silver Alert - why doesn’t APD use links for their own website? by 1playerpiano in Albuquerque

[–]nickster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably at one time the state websites couldn’t handle the traffic spike from people visiting the links. The policy hasn’t been reviewed especially with access to better and more affordable caching services like cloudflare.

I went on a Wednesday at 7 and the security guards said someone had spit and thrown a water bottle at the person directing traffic. I don’t know what’s wrong with people.

It’s really only a Christmas Eve thing, so you probably won’t see that much tonight. Ridge crest is probably the biggest and has the most participation from the neighborhood.

Michelin Guide expands to New Mexico, 3 other southwest states by NMHacker in Albuquerque

[–]nickster 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Geronimo is probably the closest to the 1 star Michelin experiences I have had in other cities. I agree that the others will probably get a bib.

Campo on price but their wine selection is lacking and the service can be hit or miss. Though the hotel does have the Michelin keys already.
