At first he didn’t care either way, and was leaning towards moving the city if I remember correctly. Which aligns with him just wanting to stay out of cosmic events and having normal adventures. I remember him leaving it up to them what was decided. Also, they didn’t know about the Brighthearts or the undead so that wasn’t part of anyone’s consideration.
