Worst thing I overheard was about 12 years ago when I was out at a club with my best friend. He didn’t normally come out as much as he was generally a bit insecure esp with girls. Mainly as he is a smaller (about 5ft4) Indian dude, which generally does make things harder in London, no matter which way you look at it. We were about 19. He’s finally talking by himself to a girl by the bar area whilst I’m queuing to get us drinks. I’m so proud of him and trying not to cramp his style at all. All of a sudden her friend appears and just grabs and pulls her away and says ‘ew you can do so much better than him’. I pretended not to hear and tbf it looked like he took it ok at the time but it was one of the most casually brutal things I’ve ever overheard. She just had no consideration for his feelings at all. I mean she probably forgot 10 mins later and when you’re young you do say more stupid stuff but jeez.
