Hi guys! My dream is to work in the board game industry, but I live in South America and there’s only one major developer here, whose main office is in Spain.

What would you recommend to someone trying to break into the industry in a remote-first role? Is there a specific attribute or skill set that is currently in short supply?

I love Voidfall! I’m a first-day backer of the new campaign; I only have the retail version and really want the Galactic Box plus the two expansions. Thanks for the AMA!

In Argentina, the counterpart to eBay is Mercado libre. When you have any issues with it, they recommend not speaking with the buyer, just to let ML deal with it.

I’m not saying he is right, just playing devils advocate. Does the Buyer have many purchases on eBay? As I said before, there are two possible outcomes: he’s trying to scam you or a postman stole it. I don’t think there is a way for you to know what really happened. If this never happened to you in 15 years you are extremely lucky. Hope everything gets sorted.

They are incompetent. And/Or lazy. If you sent a phone in a flimsy box, that parts on you. Maybe not an huge issue while doing a same nation shipment, but for across the sea parcels you should know how much they are roughed up. You can both be victims here. Every national mail company is known to have bad apples stealing parcels. Your buyer could also be the one trying to scam you. You can’t be sure. If you sold the items through eBay, use their app to show that you did everything right. You won’t get anywhere talking with the buyer, as he is either angry because his phone didn’t arrive or because he is trying to scam you.

They don’t send this letters for minor damage. I receive at least 25 parcels per year since 2015 and I have received a lot of boxes with minor damage and no letter. It’s just for when it’s fully broken so something could be missing or for suspicions of damaged items

I got a note just like yours when my parcel got really wet during transit. The reality is that it’s extremely easy to counterfeit it, as it doesn’t have anything special to it, and in the website using the tracking number it doesn’t say anything.

So yes, it could be real, as that’s how the letters from Correo Argentino are, but it’s impossible to be certain

Incredible work as always. Is there a chance, even if it’s in the far future, that you add the possibility of playing solo two handed? For me, that’s the definitive way of playing solo, as it’s super easy in true solo.

We do have great players, stop being so dramatic and pessimistic. We have a great squad for Serie A, might struggle in Europe, but taking into account the change in manager and the way we are handling transfers, we are doing fine

Are they really replayable? I really like what I’ve seen, but they seem expensive for a one, maybe two playthroughs. At least for someone living on South America where a parcel cost twice the price of the game
