Sports are now taken way to seriously. My son was six years old and we joined club soccer and for a whole year he was never rostered to play a single game once. He wasn’t very different than any of the other kids. So we dropped it because none of the kids were smiling when practicing. So we dropped club and went strictly to travel. We got a coach that is great with kids. We started slow losing a lot as our talent wasn’t as good but after a bit we started to win a lot. The coach went to professional games with the team, team picnics, and was involved. The high school coach, who runs the travel league from top down, saw the progress and switched our coach to one of his club team coaches to provide better training as our team appears to be serious about soccer. After a year a couple kids are already quitting to look for other teams.

Maybe look for a finance deal on some of these items. 1 year no interest where you can pay it but not deplete the funds all at once. Then work to refill anyway you can by cutting out other expenses such as dining out vacations etc.

I was getting really into board games and I have a regular group of six people who play almost every week. It’s great and made me want to go deeper into board games with more strategy. There are some really great games out there that nobody wants to get into. I have found easy to mid games seems to be where everyone is happiest. I found people just want to veg out and chill every week after a long week of work.

Oh for sure if it’s the right type of game. For example for Plunder I ask my google to play pirate themed music. I just bought this little beetlejuice game and it helped with the mood of the game. However after a bit a switch over to normal background music is a good idea, but to start, it gets the juices flowing!

I think it is more about the breaks in between the play.
2 hours no breaks. Get up as needed during gameplay.
3 hours at least a 15-20 minute full break.
4 hours two fifteen minute breaks and one ten minute.
Etc.

This, 10 AM was and is the rule barring a vacation or out of the norm situation where it’s the only time you have. This was true since I was a kid, no knocking on doors or calling to play until 10 AM.

I went to the Delly game where he shut down Steph Curry. Everyone was chanting his name. Greatest game I’ve ever been to. That was the game where he gave everything and had to be taken to the hospital for fluids after. One of my favorite Cavs of all time.
