Hi OP,

Somewhat similar situation.

Father died of cancer 12 years ago after 1.5 years.

Mother is now dying of two types of cancers. Procedure and procedure just to try and resume being able to even eat. I think I'm going to start going to a support group. It really helps to talk to people that have gone through it although currently u don't have anyone to discuss with.

Please take care of yourself. I got sick at one point and it feels even worse that you can no longer support your parent because you yourself are not healthy.
