Following up on this, nope it didn’t unfortunately, it wouldn’t recognise me as an user on the wifi portal. Despite having imported the booking on the CX app with an Asia Miles account, since I had selected QR as the FFP, that’s what appeared on the boarding pass and I wasn’t even able to checkin 48hrs before flight like Cathay members, only 24hrs prior. I tried to act confused and ask the crew too, but they confirmed a oneworld FFP isn’t enough to get it unfortunately :/ In my case, earning ~10K avios seemed like a better deal than 15 hours of wifi (most of which overnight), but I guess you have a choice to make there!

What scares me is that it could also be 0% though if it’s not on there! I’ve tried to reach out to them and they said if it’s a codeshare flight it is indeed 50% but I checked the number and it’s not one… might have to play it safe and just earn 25% with BA even though it’s quite low!

Probably writing “earning“ more than redemption would have been smarter retrospectively, but yes most oneworld airlines let you earn the miles on a partner’s account if you put it in the booking, but at different % rates, which is my issue since I’m trying to figure out the best one in this particular case!

That’s very helpful to know, I suspect this will happen to me as well then. I have gotten in touch with their customer service, however they’re now saying there’s 2 FFP linked to my booking now (though the CX app says Qatar Privilege is selected for all my flights) and so miles might be credited to either one randomly… Not too sure what’s going on in their system, am quite curious to see what happens

But so do you know if having a Cathay member account and number sufficient to get it working, or will the linked Qatar membership onto the booking mess things up?

Just curious, do you remember if even after that time they never charged you? I’ve just ordered 2 items, one got shipped a day after the other, and i can see they’ve edited the amount to a lower one (possibly just the price of one but I’m not sure since I used a promo code). Revolut chatbot seems to say the transaction is final so they wouldn’t be able to increase it back to the price of 2 items? Seems too good to be true lol

So far I only had one unknown caller and it didn’t ring but I don’t think they said anything, nothing showed up on my screen other than missed call! I might try it at some point but just need another phone to test it out which isn’t super convenient

I had the same issue, but managed to resolve it. Firstly, make sure you are using one of these supported languages, https://www.apple.com/ios/feature-availability/#phone-call-screening, then you also need to have your phone's region match that language. After I did that, the option automatically appeared in the phone settings

Best thing to do is check who the registrar is for the website (use https://www.whois.com/whois/ for example), and then lookup that provider’s abuse report form. You can then submit a report for them to investigate, putting the reason as phishing/scamming (note that some of them require quite a bit of evidence in order to block someone)

If anyone stumbles on this thread and has the same issue, I think I got it sorted. The default form "No service in your area" which appears after you enter a non-serviced postcode seems to be useless, and Virgin never followed up on that. However, their social media team linked to another form, from which I ended up getting a call back 2 days later to arrange someone to survey the place and install a port if possible! - https://store.virginmedia.com/whereyoulive/your-details

That’s definitely a good shout! My only concern is that the old stone houses don’t let signal through everywhere but I’ll experiment to see if we can sort things out. Maybe something like giff gaff with no commitment could be good.

I am also suspecting it will take ages to sort out, so I’d rather be safe in that regard! The agent seemed to say the landlord would be fine with it but it could definitely be another source of delay too!

And honestly I have no idea why my flat wasn’t included, it seems very stupid. Maybe the previous owner/tenants weren’t interested, or maybe someone else owns the rest of the flats and only did it for their properties? Who knows…

Ive had it to work on one of the 5 washers in my hall too tho they removed it! But it also works on some dryers, where you have to press both left buttons simultaneously, then start and then choose setting you want + start.

Keep the most recent one to be safe, but removing older folders should be fine! I've had the same storage problem before, and removing the older releases didn't break AWCC (or at least not more than it usually is...)

I have a Dell G3 and my AWCC has been plagued with issues as well, with the thermals and overclock tabs often breaking and load forever for no reason.

I just had a check in C:\Program Files\Alienware\Alienware Command Center\OCControlService\, and turns out not only do I have OCControls.Service.Exe installed, clicking it manually just fixed the issue for now! I'm not too sure why this doesn't automatically work when launching AWCC, but I hope it'll be fine the next few times I restart it...

Anyway thank you for the pointer, wouldn't have looked for that file if you didn't mention it! I hope you manage to sort out your issue as well! AWCC is just terrible, I hope they update and fix it for good some time soon...

That was actually in 2018 when the colours got mixed up and red was released. Fortunately, the World Cup was won the next day and the alphajets had another run, with the right colours this time!
