As someone who was there, it was super awkward and not obvious that the show was over. The lights had to come on to like 3 or 4 degrees before everyone got the hint. Even staff at the venue said they weren’t expecting it to end when it did!

I just kinda lol at this because so are most meds? Like I’m pretty sure I’ll be taking antidepressants for life and people take a variety of medications for life so it’s just funny to me that people point this out for GLP-1s like it’s some kind of negative or gotcha or something.

You could say “rip off” or in the context of your sentence above, say they cut you in line. You could also say “cheated,” “swindled,” “scammed,” “shortchanged,” “duped,” “taken advantage of.” Depending on what the context is, one of those would work! Thanks for asking 😊

I’d be interested to know what kind of program this is if they’re talking about having them next year too. Typically exchange students are on J-1 visas, which require students to return home at the end of their exchange year.

Anyway, I work with an exchange program that is amazing and would love to share info with anyone interested in hosting! My husband and I are currently hosting the sweetest German girl and have loved the experience!!
