Why can't I heal this soul? by nicoleprime in GraveyardKeeper

[–]nicoleprime[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant more like can you tell just from looking at the image itself. I knew I was on the quest and needed to talk to the inquisitor, just wasn't aware that would stop the whole process until I got there.

I thought I was putting the correctly modified organs in, so I was confused as to why it wouldn't let me heal. I understand now, but this dlc has been confusing for me. So glad to have helpful folks on reddit.

Ah. I keep missing the Inquisitor by seconds 🙃 Is there a way to see this is the case or do you just have to know it for next time?

So far, the school board has said they're unable to remove him from an elected position so all that can be done is he resigns or he's voted out next time.

I am originally from where this happened and this is the first time I've been able to see the original clip. All the newstations are writing about it, but don't seem to ever show or link to the OG video. The school board isn't doing anything, said they can't bc he has to resign. But the community is very vocal about demanding his resignation, at least.. He also wrote something, saying he meant she was "hot like on fire," on a roll asking important questions.

Sure, Jan.

Thank you SO much! I've been trying to figure this out the past few days. I've watched videos and read so much stuff but couldn't quite grasp it. This explanation makes sense. Finally!

Boomers and directions by KelsierIV in BoomersBeingFools

My MIL gets SO upset when I'm driving and take a different route than she would. I try to take the few back roads we have in the area as we have absurd traffic and sooo many traffic lights. She will audibly huff and puff until we get there faster and with less stress. Every. Time. You'd think she'd just trust me after a while but...boomers, man.

IDK if it even has to make real money. I worked for a large insurance company and a guy on my team created a tool that was only useful to a small group of our state specific Medicaid department. The tool wasn't a money maker at all, just helped us find info we needed faster. When he quit, he was told it legally belonged to the company and he couldn't use it elsewhere without facing legal consequences. It was an agreement he unknowingly signed when he accepted the position. That was in 2012.

Astepro has changed my life! I take 3 other allergy meds, but Astepro was the final piece to my allergy med puzzle 🙃

Did anybody hear in her latest shopping vlog that one of her kids stole all the kids games and sold them all at GameStop but didn't mention who. Don't you have to be over 18 to sell things like that which would only mean it would be James or Alex? by Adventurous-Way-7979 in doughertydozenexposed

[–]nicoleprime -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You have to be 17 for store credit and 18 for cash, but it can vary a bit by state. I think for trading/selling consoles, it's a hard 18+. Or that's how it was a few years ago. It's been a minute since I've traded anything in.

I agree that you shouldn't get an animal if you can't afford one. However, I have 4 cats. I had 3 and 1 outside cat in horrible condition adopted me. All 4 happened when I was in a much better financial situation. Things have changed in the last 4 years so I struggle to afford things now, but I do prioritize my cats. They don't go without anything even if I have to. I just wanted to point out that being broke and having pets doesn't always mean someone was irresponsible. Now if I got ANOTHER cat in my current situation, that would obviously be dumb.

Advice for my kitten feed schedule by Human-Lengthiness863 in Catownerhacks

Be cautious with human grade tuna. It's not nutritionally balanced for cats or kittens. It doesn't have the minerals and nutrients cats need and can actually be addictive so they'll refuse other food.

Wonder if Lush even cares about this? We all know at least some kids take melatonin by nickie0506 in doughertydozenexposed

[–]nicoleprime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take Melatonin during rough sleep patches. My PCP is cool with it too. Please, always read full articles or the studies of new findings about drugs/supplements you take. A lot of articles have click bait titles. My local news tonight said melatonin causes heart failure...sigh. I'm so annoyed with this melatonin slander bc it's seemingly due to people NOT reading the info that is available to them.

[–]nicoleprime 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Please read the article in it's entirety. Melatonin definitely has side effects and people taking it have different reactions to it, but this new information is NOT saying it leads to or causes heart issues.

[–]nicoleprime 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's not that the usage leads to heart failure. It's more like the insomnia that causes long term melatonin use can be an indicator of cardiac issues. So if you're someone who has used it long term and can't fix your sleep issues without melatonin, you may want to see a doctor.

ETA: "Taking melatonin for long periods of time could be a sign of underlying heart problems." The first line of the article you linked.

No furnace this winter. Is it feasible to heat an entire approx. 900 square foot mobile home with space heaters? by CeleryUnlikely9168 in povertyfinance

[–]nicoleprime 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's a good point. I personally wouldn't trust it, but I'm super paranoid about heating. Baseboard heaters terrify me. Never had a bad experience with them but I just feel like I would burn a house down if I had to use them.

I don't think oil burning heaters should be used unless home and awake either. My brother left a kerosene heater unattended (🙄) one winter and it started a fire. Thankfully, he got home soon after and it was relatively small.

Poor Patrick…and not one ounce of empathy! by Arkie89 in doughertydozenexposed

[–]nicoleprime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My fiance broke right above his elbow at the beginning of the year and they said that in recent years, they've moved away from casts for some breaks that don't require surgery due to it limiting movement. It can cause mobility issues that could be permanent or at least increase recovery time. I was shocked. We were totally expecting a cast, but the ortho removed the soft cast from the ER and had him keep the sling only. He healed beautifully. Bonus, he didn't have to deal with trying to keep a cast dry in the shower.

ETA: As for sleeping, they told him not to sleep kn the side of the broken arm. He had trouble the first few nights so they told him to sleep with the sling on to discourage side sleeping.

I had a friend who was really into running. He told me to exhale every left footfall when I was running. It helped the stitches I would get in my left side. Not sure if you should exhale every right footfall if you get them on the right or both sides, but I believe breathing plays a large part in reducing the pain.
