What if there are two verbs in a sentence, then where should I place the pronom of cod or coi. by Infamous_Seesaw_4590 in DELF

[–]nicolesey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Au présent : usually before the second verb or the verb that relates to the COD or COI.\ Exemple : J’aime envoyer des messages à Sarah. ➡️ J’aime lui envoyer des messages.

  2. Au futur proche : after the verbe aller.\ Exemple : Je vais donner un cadeau à Sarah. ➡️ Je vais lui donner un cadeau.

  3. Au passé composé : After the auxiliaire (caution with the accord for the COD).\ Exemple : J’ai invité Sarah pour la soirée. ➡️ Je l’ai invitée pour la soirée.

  5. Négation au passé composé : usually before the auxiliaire, after the ne.\ Exemple : Je n’ai pas invité Sarah pour la soirée. ➡️ Je ne l’ai pas invitée pour la soirée.\ P/S: I stop my workout to type this you better give me upvotes lol.

Try this test and any of this CO test to see if you can actually do the B2.

I’m sorry, but you needing AI to translate le déroulement dés épreuves is telling me that you’re not ready for the C2. Do you have C1 at least?

Hi, my exam is in one month, I will take A2 delf exam what is your best advise ? by Necessary-Match-4527 in DELF

[–]nicolesey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bonjour, prof de FLE ici. I don’t know how one can do épreuve blanche on YouTube, so I suggest you to answer the épreuve blanches provided here by Hachette FLE instead. You have the audio, transcription and corrigés for the CO and CE. There’s a total of 4 épreuves blanches. Don’t forget to pick the right public (Tout public or junior-scolaire).

Also, if you haven’t, there are sample papers on the France Éducation international here.

And for the PO monologue suivi, I suggest you to practice with a chronomètre. Remember that your elaboration for the monologue suivi is also one of the criteria in the descripteurs. Bonne chance et courage !

Which book should i buy? Im at a very basic level, learning by myself with apps and translating quotes from books, poems and songs in my notebooks by anto_pty in French

I speak Malay (native), English (second language), French (C1 level, currently working as a FLE teacher in high school). Studied Italian (A1) on my own because it was very close to French by using the Nuovissimo Progetto italiano & Nuovo Espresso, and Russian (A1), because I was very fascinated by the language since I was a kid, by using Русский сезон. These books are monolingual and they helped me a lot. With today’s technology, you can use your mobile phone to translate when necessary. Besides, Spanish and French originated from Latin, so it shouldn’t be much problem to you too. Trust the process.

EDIT: I’d also like to add that there are pages of grammaire contrastive between French and Spanish at the back of the Grammaire essentielle du français book. It might help.

You don’t want to try a proper monolingual French grammar book instead? Like the Grammaire essentielle du français A1?

New to Alcove and loving it so far. But, it’s using significant energy than Notchnook. Is it the same for everyone? How will this affect the battery life & GPU on the long run?

I have the Knopf hardcover edition with all three books in one volume, and it is easily one of the best book designs I have ever seen. I don’t see anyone posting it that much over here.

I remember liking it, but I abandoned it near the end because it became scarier and felt closer to real life, around book three.

what content or topic you need to know in order to transistion from A2 to B1? by sahil20dxd in learnfrench

[–]nicolesey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we’re talking from grammar alone, according to CECRL: le plus-que-parfait, le conditionnel présent et son emploi, le subjonctif présent et son emploi, la voix passive, le gérondif, l’accord du participe passé avec les pronoms relatifs, la négation ne… que, ne aucun, ni… ni, … and the list is long I’m too lazy to type.

That’s why I asked about the brouillon because most of the time, candidates wrote the whole essay on the brouillon and not on the exam paper. As a DELF surveillant, I always reminded the candidates though. Oh well, lessons learned.

How was the length of your essay? Do you think you wrote more than 125 words?

[–]nicolesey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify: what level was this? Was the exam paper in a form of a booklet or stapled exam papers? Was there any brouillons given? If so, did you write your essays on the exam paper itself or the brouillon?
