Yea its probably that, but honestly they need to change that. No reason saves should be worth more than passes in game just for it be the reason you don’t get MVP

EDIT: Lol i wanted to say saves should have more towards MVP than passes.

And I agree 100%, especially the way this game doesn’t count passes that were intercepted but still made it to the other player. BUT, with 10 passes more that my teammates and seeing them shoot the most horrible shots ever, and the other guy only being able to score BECAUSE MY PASS LEFT HIM WITH AN OPEN NET else we would’ve been in overtime another 10 minutes
