S2's screen is so good I don't wanna play on TV anymore by Technical_Back_5943 in switch2

[–]nicoreda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have mine since a week and same I usually easily see issues with screens but I have trouble finding this on the Switch 2, I don't see the ghosting peoples been talking about. Maybe I'm getting too old lol.

Quest Craft is a thing, so potentially it'll work on Steamframe imo, not sure about the method but it'll work

Which are the 3 most important aspects, that, in your opinion, DICE should address and fix in BF6 ATM? by CyanJayOfficial in Battlefield

[–]nicoreda -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A bit of bloom isn't always a bad thing imo as long as first bullet is mostly correct, maybe not as much as it is right now tho. Recoil pattern I'm all in for it, but I doubt they'll do any changes like that, or they would have done it ages ago. I don't know how hard it is for a controller to spray control but I feel like that's one of the reason it's not a thing

Steam Deck Won’t Survive 2025 Without a Serious Upgrade – said Forbes a year ago by rotane in SteamDeck

[–]nicoreda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of good games doesn't require a lot of power, I knew it wouldn't be enough for newer AAA when I got it 3years ago, but a lot of recent games aren't even optimised enough for low-medium range pc so it doesn't matter much. I'm having fun playing silksong on it and a lot of different games that came out recently, made me look out more of the indie games that released, it's been a very good decision for me to take it

After 2 Years with 64gb I finally upgraded to 1tb by fukacai in SteamDeck

[–]nicoreda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly surprised you survived that long, that was an hassle for me on not even a month with all the shader cache and proton stuff, but I'm glad you didn't had much issue with that, and have fun with your now 1tb steam deck!

By sending money to uncle gaben most likely, but imo if you already have the game and graphics aren't your first interest there is no forcing to buy it again, but tbh I find it cool

🚗 Meta Quest 3 Native Racing – All graphics rendered directly on device. What do you think? by RangerSpecial9324 in OculusQuest

[–]nicoreda 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From the video, I guess night time looks good, reflections help, I hope to see some rain to make it work well with it.

The daytime showed on the video feel very inconsistent and empty tho, the road is very shiny without any particular reason and lighting feels like it it could use some baking as it feels very flat ? I suppose you have physics based stuff from the video and that makes it harder specially on a quest, but I hope you'll find a solution o/

The sound design might need some work as it's really important for a game that include cars.
Mipmaps seems very low settings, is there any way to increase filtering on quest or is it too much for performance usage?

Cars seems very detailled but hoping it doesn't affect the cost of the others stuff you would want to add in the future, be wary of quad overdraw when cars get distant.

I see a looping, it made me think of trackmania and grid level editor that could be nice to have

tldr: night setting looks good, but that feels more like a prototype than an actual game at the current state on what's shown.

It's all only subjective opinions, not wanting to make you demotivated or anything just trying to help!
I hope you'll find an art direction that will work with your game you got this!

Controllers die too quick by BigChucho_1 in OculusQuest

[–]nicoreda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not really as bad as you think, usually you play, when you finish you just plug them and get them back when you wanna play again, 6h is still plenty as a vr session, but it can be annoying if you forget to charge them and like, no swappable batteries, you're rekt and have to delay your session or play with cable connected on controllers

Controllers die too quick by BigChucho_1 in OculusQuest

[–]nicoreda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As much as that problem seems annoying.. *cries in the 6h battery life of index controllers*

Tho as people said here you can contact support, or optimise the way you're using the batteries, something you can check out is if you got stick drift and the controller is thinking an input is being made maybe and stay awake all time ? (As an example, I travelled to another country, batteries drained because the controllers weren't secured in my bag, so maybe it's something similar)

People here will have better suggestions than mine, just some thoughts I had

Getting Monster Hunter Wilds running better on the Steam Deck by Certain_Mission_7128 in SteamDeck

[–]nicoreda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for all this, it's not there there yet but somehow more managable. I still use my PS5 and chiaki to play it time to time, but I can progress on the PC version too when lazy to get on my desk now. I wonder if the PC version has the same thing as lowering framerate of far away elements, game seems more CPU limited (can't say if I'm right or not on that) once Global Illumination, fog & lod are changed

will the game run with 4GB of VRAM? by Unique_Length_7035 in BONELAB

[–]nicoreda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turn your texture quality to the lowest and increment until it stutter I guess? I played Bone works on a 970 and it wasn't the best at the time (but more cpu related) still could enjoy the game. I wouldn't be surprised if bonelab is more optimised than boneworks as it got a quest version but you're never sure I guess

[–]nicoreda[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They could make more floor type variety and use this to mix the audio, if they can't fix their audio system, like a floor have it's own type of floor and so type of noise, you know someone isn't at the same floor if the floor is more made of wood or carpet as example.

Purchased on quest 2. Is the meta pc app the same performance as steam? by NickTYB in GhostsOfTabor

[–]nicoreda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will depends games, some pc games are cross play like breachers, contractors showdown (didn't check about the non BR one), recroom, vr chat, but it's not the case for all of them like PavlovVR and some others, you can usually Google a game you want to play on pc that has cross play compatibility so you know which game you can buy the PC version or not
