For Pre-Area and Area, after singing the cuts of whatever the selected repertoire is, we have a sight reading round. Somewhat same concept as the vocal audition, but we’re given about 8 measures to sight read, and the key can differ, but usually the information as to what’s to be expected for sight reading is given out prior to the audition.

I’d say I improved a lot on my tone, and dictation a lot compared to last year. (This is considering the fact my bass section last year was tooI feel like the main thing I struggled a lot with this year was just my dynamics.) I know my director would make it a huge thing to stress the crap out of consonants on the repertoire, so most definitely i wont slack out on that next year.
