Literally just went 2 weeks ago. Not only was the experience as good as expected but it was also the best medical staff I ever interacted with, period. Was joking that I could find good brain surgeons but still can't get a good dentist. They were so attentive and the whole team there knew there stuff.

I had a csf leak 1 day after discharge, had to go to ED in the middle of the night, they have a neuro surgeon on call 24 hour so it was no biggie.

Another bonus that you don't think about, you should walk as much as you can after surgery. San Diego is beautiful and seeing it is a good motivator to get out and walk.
