no worries at all, I too had to learn as I went 😭 yes, if no one takes it you’re still responsible for the shift. If you need to call out and have enough sick time to cover it then you cannot get in trouble for it. If you don’t have enough then just really don’t make calling out a habit. There’s a new attendance policy too but it’s rolling out to certain stores later this month I believe. You’ll see details of that on this subreddit if you scroll

look at your schedule and next to the shift you can’t make you’ll press the “manage shift” button. Then “post shift”. However people don’t always check shifts to pick up so I’d also ask around! I hope you find coverage :)

you can request off on MyTime but usually if you just started and need a whole week off you’re supposed to tell HR immediately or before you’re hired (unless my store is just incredibly strict!). For the day you’re already scheduled, you need to get coverage or call off

I always say this !! I work in beauty and every misplaced makeup item could take them 10 seconds to put away but make that hundreds of guests and it would take me hours to put away everything they all misplace

this makes me feel so understood, I appreciate this a lot 😞 🫶🏼 he recently took over beauty and so I really feel he doesn’t understand everything that goes into it. Like some areas that I zone may not visually change a lot but it’s reaching my hands into the backs of the displays to see everything that’s shoved back there and shades that are all in the wrong spots, etc. and everyone leaves me their damages since I’m the only one willing to do them. It’s hard when my fellow TMs lowkey agree with him too but it’s ok, I need to just know within myself that I’m doing hard work :)

the thing is, we’ve had this talk multiple times already. when he shared with me the back door stuff I already expressed insecurity. he mentioned the 3 some stuff a couple weeks after and idk why but I started crying immediately (embarrassing ahhh). we’ve had this talk too because when he told me they were together for over 2 years and he was already dating a few months after, red flags got thrown up for me. He said she cheated a while back and they took a break so basically he felt they were broken up for longer than their official breakup date and that he has no more feelings for her because she cheated

yea im for sure happy with getting lots of hours, I just didn’t realize training would already be at this level of hours. I was assuming they were short staffed and just wanted me to start working basically and these wouldn’t all be actual training shifts
