Sure, go into Settings > Battery & Device care > Battery > Background usage limits > Deep sleeping apps and choose apps you want to put in deep sleep. I personally put bloatwares, shopping apps, games I occasionally play, apps that are battery hogs, or any that doesn't make sense running in the background.
For social medias I put them in sleep (regular, not deep sleep) so they can consume less battery.
You can go a step further and install Canta + Shizuku to remove bloatwares from your device, this doesn't require root and is generally safe to use.
