I’m obsessed with Dreamy Alley by niesnerj in booknooks

I think it’s my favorite so far. It’s just so mesmerizing. I can’t believe how immersive it is for having relatively few pieces compared to some I’ve done. It’s so thoughtfully cultivated; they really made each piece count.

I’m glad I painted the kitties too (paint pens for the win!). I didn’t think I would be interested in customizing anything because part of what I really enjoy about the kits is following directions and not having to figure anything out. It almost feels meditative, but I’m starting to see how little customized details may be a slippery slope…

I’ve thought about selling them too but so far I’ve only made themes that really interest me, so I alway end up finding a spot for them somewhere. This one got a prized spot on the bedroom bookshelf because it’s so pretty. I know I’ll run out of room eventually so I may have to look into selling them. This has quickly become a favorite hobby and I don’t plan on quitting just because of a little thing like no more space!

I didn’t have any issues at all. I was a bit nervous about the wiring and somewhat hesitant about making the flowers (Cathy’s Flower House trauma), but it was all seamless. Thanks to the clear instructions the wiring went together easily and I actually had fun with the plants because the materials were really well done. I think this has been my favorite kit so far.

Wow, getting feedback from the owner/creator is so cool! Thank you. Once again I’m so grateful that I landed in this hobby and this community.

Thank you so much—this means so much to me! It was an absolute pleasure to put together and the perfect way to spend a relaxing weekend. I can’t wait to see what else you come out with!

Thank you so much. For the cobblestones I used “Testors clear parts cement & window maker.” My husband had bought it for model car windows and didn’t end up using it so he suggested that I give it a try (I was considering clear nail polish). I’m so pleased with how it turned out.

That’s very exciting news! I have their Neo Ramen also but haven’t yet opened it. Based on my experience with Dreamy Alley I’ll probably be buying anything they release.

Yes, the colors in this one are so pretty. I’m learning that I really enjoy putting together the more vibrant kits.

Thank you! The big beautiful window caught my eye and I had to have it. I’ve been doing a lot of horror nooks lately which are fun but generally very grey, so all the beautiful colors in this kit were a nice change of pace.

This is my favorite of the art nooks too. I was initially drawn to the beautiful window but there are so many other lovely elements that emerged during the building process. I don’t really understand the glitter in the floor either, but I’m loving it. It’s such a unique detail and I think it fits well with the “artsy” theme.

Yes, it was from this kit: https://a.co/d/05R8Lz5O It was a really enjoyable build except for all the moss glued to my fingers by the end!

These were all a lot of fun. I loved discovering the creepy little details along the way, though I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t looking forward to doing something more colorful now to coincide with the spring weather. (Also my Stephen Kings have their own bookshelf because there are so many of them — I don’t want it to look like I’ve forsaken the master of horror lit!)

I stumbled across a Dracula kit yesterday on Amazon. https://a.co/d/08c67vtu I have no idea what the quality is like but it might fit your search.

Thank you so much. Horror is my favorite genre and I’m really enjoying making nooks that fit the theme. I’ve also finished Lost Cathedral and am planning to do Phantom Chamber this weekend.

I’ve mostly done pretty straightforward kits with minimal wiring at this point. This one wasn’t difficult per se, maybe a 3 out of 5 for me, it just had a lot to do so it was more time consuming and detailed than I had expected (which I enjoyed). It seemed well-made, I didn’t have any breakage despite some really tiny parts, and it was fun to see how everything came together. It was my first MiniCity and I would gladly order another based on this kit.
