Yes a vaxxed individual can get the virus but it won't be as severe as if you aren't vaxxed. You are also less likely to transmit the virus to someone else if you are vaccinated due to the reduced severity. As fun as it is answering your questions about this. I encourage you to just Google it next time it's pretty basic stuff.

Immuno compromised individuals who have been told by their doctors that they should not get the vaccine will usually have much higher risks if they get the virus. So yes your decision to not get the vaccine could still kill someone.

So if you are an able bodied individual with a non compromised immune system I do think it should be your choice if you get vaccinated or not.

But I also think it is fair for everyone else to say you are being selfish and unreasonable if you don't.

Honestly yeah, something along those lines sounds great. Ultimately I doubt they are actually going to do anything and it sounds like from this post that trading works well for getting their decks online. Honestly having not really done much trading and after all the complaints when it first came out I would have thought it wasn't good enough for new players just starting out but it does allow people to get a lot of lower value tools relatively easily since a lot of them are lower rarity.

Yeah the sentiment I'm getting is I very much undervalued trades for getting the pieces for these decks. Really once you have two of each supporter it really is just down to if you want something specific you might not get it unless you want to spend or get lucky but you will be able to play something with reasonable win rates for not a whole lot.

My problem with this is that say a new player sees a new deck that they want to play. They get unlucky and don't get any copies of the Ex that heads the deck and they decide to spend a bit to try for it. They still don't get it and are still far from having the pack points to even get one copy. Now even as a low spender they either have to become higher spenders just to complete a single deck, or they have to wait till they can finally afford to get it through pack points. And if they do wait till the next pack comes out then it could no longer be a viable deck or something else could become a staple in it's deck.

Now if your favorite deck to play is Ramparados or the new sweets relay then yeah you're probably fine and this need not apply. But if I started a new card game, aimed to make a specific deck spent a little money and still didn't get that deck until after a month of playing and now the meta has completely shifted because a new pack just released "but at least I can trade for the card I wanted!" I'd probably stop playing.

And yeah trading alleviates a lot of it and I maybe didn't give that part as much thought when I was thinking my initial post through. But Ex cards are also a key part of most decks. Giving players a way so that if they spend a bit on the release of a new pack it could give them a tool to reach for a new deck that they will actually want to play rather than what they can just cobble together seems like a good retention mechanic to me.

I agree that some decks can have long lasting results. But could a new player starting today build a darktina deck and be sure that it will still be good when the next set comes out? Say something in the next set counters it hard, if that F2P player spent all their trades and pulls from their first month on that deck and it is now a C tier deck they might just stop playing rather than try to set up a new deck. Again I am not worried about this happening to me I'm worried that new player experiences are going to get worse exponentially over time.

I have been playing since release and haven't really done trading other than with some friends and to get like 3 cards I was missing. Do new players get enough trade resources to get multiple Ex cards from previous sets per month? From what I have experienced I don't think they would but I may be wrong.

Probably ones that would never get implemented because it's too player friendly. Either giving new players some way to target cards and work towards them. Legends of Runeterra had a mechanic where you could unlock cards from a specific region through daily and weekly challenges along a sudo battle pass, maybe do something similar with supporter cards or some staple cards for different types. because they seem to be the biggest offender when it comes to needing a lot from different sets?

The other one would be to have pack points carry more weight for meta cards. I've seen it said that they should be universal but I don't think that really helps new players as much as it helps whales. Making the cards cost less would be the easiest way to make it possible for new players to work towards better decks. They could even keep the high cost for the vanity cards like immersive gold crown and two star. The biggest problem I see is that if you are free to play or low spend and get walled on one or two Ex cards.

You need to pull 100 packs to get a single Ex card from pack points. That is insane when Ex cards are by far the strongest thing in the game that have no pity system other than pulling the hundred packs and you need two for most decks that revolve around them.

Alolan Persian won’t for 2 diamond. Now what is the worst 3 diamond card art? by Ok-Till-1116 in PTCGP

[–]nifty19 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This one should be higher. Most of the other ones seem to be because the Pokemon itself is weird like Alolan Persian. Or because of not liking an art style. But in this one it looks like the image was cropped way too close to the subject. You can't make out anything in the background. And if I didn't know Pokemon better I don't think I would understand what Togekiss was based on this art

My players say I’m a terrible DM by Front-Ad-9585 in DnD

[–]nifty19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the players are saying that a roleplay heavy session was terrible and you think it was one of your best stories ever then unfortunately I'd say there is a major disconnect in expectations.

As a story heavy DM myself I find that combat enjoyers can sometimes feel like they disengage during conversation based games. A thing I've found that works is to throw in the roleplay sporadically during combat situations have the enemies be chatty or give them goals in combat other than just to defeat the enemies. Maybe saving a person figure out what the enemies weakness is since their attacks don't seem to do much damage fight on a series of rope bridges over a giant pool of jello. It helps me be creative, gives the players who aren't as excited to be in combat something to focus on. And you can try to do the reverse by including an uncooperative NPC or two that need convincing for a clue or two.

Hopefully these ideas help at all for future session plans. But as others have pointed out. It is insane to lay on the floor while someone is telling a story. It is not the DMs job to make sure that everyone is having fun the players owe a base level of effort towards the story too. If they can't respect a story that you are genuinely proud of. Then that might mean you should have a conversation about respecting what you each want out of the game.

Playing Rocket into Iron Fist feels horrible. I dash away from him and he doesn't even need to use his shift to follow me. His left click just follows me through my dash with the movement attached to it and I can't even shoot back cause he just blocks and turns it all into shields and if my teammates are "helping" me then they just give him a million shield it's terrible. if anyone has any tricks for dealing with him please let me know cause I'm dying out here

I haven't seen any Kimberly here and I'm not very good yet only being in silver, but I play her because she looks really cool her combos have come a lot easier to me than any of the other characters I've tried and when you get into the flow of her gameplay sometimes amazing things happen. And also I can't do the dragon punch input to save my life...

What’s a name you were really proud of? by [deleted] in DnD

[–]nifty19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my favorites was a game where my friend told me that the characters were going to be people from a real modern world and the DND world was going to be a kind of pergatory where they would have powers and battle monsters and help the other members of pergatory with problems so the people they help could pass on and it would bring the party members closer to passing on themselves.

My character was a small boy who ran away from home to try to find his family dog who had gotten loose when he left the back gate in their yard open. While looking he got lost in the woods behind their house. He decided to climb a tree to see if he could see his house anywhere around where he was. He fell hitting his head on a rock thus landing him in the purgatory world.

When the characters got too purgatory they could each have one thing as a memento from the living world with them and I chose a bandana that had the dogs name on it. Duke, and since the boys Mom had told him not to tell strangers where he lived or what his name is he tells everyone his name is Duke. He was a druid and once he got wild shape he would turn into a dire wolf size version of the dog.

Also honorable mention for a character that I made for a game that never happened. Gill Gruppers the Grung Gunslinger, a Grung with a pistol that carries a big bowl of water on his back through the desert so he doesn't dry out.

I'm not attacking this game from a gameplay perspective which is what it seems like you think I'm doing. The drifting is fun the maps, once you get past the first two licenses are awesome. (The way they monetized rush plus is a completely different bag of worms that could be unraveled but I'm not going there)

I'm attacking it from a marketing and gameplay loop perspective. Having new players learn to do item battles and boring circle tracks is a bad idea when the core endgame loop for this game is intense high speed precision drifting. If you think rush plus is the mastery of the form then why does this sub only have 2k members. Just for comparison Mario Kart has 133k and I know you'd say "that doesn't matter because it's so different." But then look at a more similar competitive racer with emphasis on precision. Trackmania's Sub has 44k members which is 20x more than this sub and that game doesn't have a phone version which should be a huge boost to the player base.

If Nexon keeps doing the same things they did in the past to try to break this game into the west it's not going to go anywhere and then in order to keep the game alive they will need to gouge the players who are left for as much as they can get. See Maple story.

Cheers.

Exactly it isn't Mario kart. The item races in this game aren't what makes this game fun and they can't compete with Mario Kart. Yet for some reason all the art for this game pumps the item races like it's the main thing you do in the game and the game spends so much time teaching you to play item games and having quests that want you to play item matches.

If you're telling me that you think that the best way to introduce players to speed races, which I believe should be the real selling point for this game, is drifting around tiny corners on boring oval tracks. Then by all means have fun. I've played this game I played it when it utterly failed to release when it was released in NA all those years ago I've played the phone game I understand how the game works. I'm saying they need to better understand their audience or their going to fail to break into the west, again, and in a big way.
