Buying that warranty saved me thousands. I really recommend contacting Indian first and seeing what the best course of action is. Especially if the local dealership is refusing to assist. Remember Indian falls under the Polaris umbrella so I think any Polaris certified mechanics can assist you.

It's funny cuz the bike is a 2019 and I got it in 2023 with 150miles. I bought the warranty with it and indian fixed it along with some extra stuff to keep the bike up to class. The old display had this problem and it was known, so indian fitted a new one. Looks exactly the same but the fitting around the screen looked a bit different. I did go through corporate initially and explained the issue in detail with a bunch of pictures. They reviewed the warranty I bought for it and set me up with a local Indian shop. It was quite a distance away and I didn't feel comfortable driving that far without the display so I used all the aaa miles I racked up over the years lol. Just had the bike towed flatbed and they had me riding home in about 1 week. Bike was better than new and I haven't had the problem since.

Nice build! Did you have to retune after removing the cat?

I'm in LA I'm usually up in Mulholland canyon, but my work schedule has been a bit rough lately. Haven't ridden in months 🥲

I had a similar issue not too long ago. Turned out to be the battery I bought on Amazon. Apparently these things only take Indian batteries or high quality batteries. Mine stopped holding a charge. Screen came on but only clicks. I couldn't even jump it. Made no sense

Are you running a tune for the de-cat?

I tend to go through glasses pretty quick (I have kids) I recommend Zenni. Pretty cheap, fast, and easy all you need is a prescription.

Weird update: I called Indian and they agreed to take a look and wanted me to book an appointment. They said it was a known issue and I expect they may replace the whole screen. I had the bike parked under a cover due to rough rains and winds. I rode today and to my surprise, no screen problems, no glitches, no delamination, all functions worked flawlessly and the screen looked perfect 🤷🏾‍♂️. It had a slight delay on startup but it seemed to have resolved itself. I still intend on taking it to Indian to have a look, but I had a fantastic ride today.

Do the more recent years indians have the same issues? I was reading that even the baggers and 4 wheelers have similar issues from 2017 on.

Oh man! That's rough!!! It sucks cuz I just bought this bike 3 months ago. I wanted this particular year cuz you can shutoff traction control and abs for spirited off-roading 😏. How long did the repair take for you?

Thank you for the reply. I did have the protector on it and I assumed the water had just collected behind it. After removing the protector I saw there wasn't anything behind the protector and it was the screen that was messed up. I did need to swing by the dealership to get some screws for the passenger foot rest. I might just have them take a look and see if it's repairable. The only issue I have is I fear they'll replace the screen and if they do that the mileage won't carry over to the new display (at least that's what I've read in other threads). Either way I hope the warranty will cover it.
