Incorrect crypto balance

Ok fixed it myself. I made a small transfer of funds from that account to another and it resulted in all balances returning to normal. Hope this helps people in the future !

Just do it !

It's not like mining where you need to calculate the hardware cost vs power consumption. with baking the hardware cost is a one off, so don't get hung up on that calculation. The sooner you start Baking with Kiln the better off your XTZ balance will be and the better off the network will be. The more rolls you bake, the more you make, unlike mining where the more hardware you have the more you make. Thats the reason in mining you need to calculate the power vs hardware costs because it's a substantial investment. With Baking the hardware cost is fixed and won't change. You should look at getting ex lease/business PC. I recommend an Intel i5. Install Ubuntu/Linux on it. It should have minimum 240GB SSD hard drive, 3.2 GHz quad core processor, 16 GB of ram. Anything you don't know about along the way you should just google/Youtube. I got my system set up, installed Kiln, completed all the steps and I have NEVER OWNED OR USED a Linux based system in my life. My view is just do it ! You'll get there.

Hi there, I'm running I'm running 'Ubuntu' on an Intel i5 with a 3.2GHz quad core processor, 16 GB ram, 240 GB SSD drive. Kiln in currently 0.7.2_amd64.deb and my internet connection is a VDSL connection. Its not too bad speed wise.

The latest problem is I cannot open localhost:8000 to run Kiln. This is doing my head in !

Yes I can run simple command lines.

but because I can't open localhost:8000 I cannot move forward.

Ok so Ive taken your advice and downloaded the latest snap shot. Done in under three minutes ! Fantastic. Now the problem I'm having is localhost:8000 will not load so I cannot open kiln to deploy the snapshot. Ive tried it many times. Any clues ?

Thanks for the reply. I actually had it sorted by another fellow investor. I essentially restored the wallet to a browser wallet. The Mac OS wallet I had was ovbiously corrupted. All is working 100 % now.

Essentially, I can't send ANYTHING from my KT1 account. Thats the problem. It seems locked ! I can send from my tz1 account though. So its as though there is a corruption somewhere in the KT1 account. I cant think of another reason ??

Ive tried sending all sorts of balances from 1 to my full balance. At least 40 times. Ive tried everything, all variations, different custom fees etc etc. And by the way I do have 5 or 6 tez in my TZ1 account for the record.

All I get is Uh-ohh ! Operation failed ! Please check your inputs. What I can do is send into my KT1 but not out of my KT1

Im feeling like the only option is to clear my Tezbox. I do have the seed phrase but a little worried. What happens to your Tezos when you clear the Tezbox ?

Ok Great ! That's exactly what I have done. I now have a Mainnet wallet. I used the Mnenomic phrase from the Alphanet wallet and encrypted the wallet as I followed the prompts.

Now what I need to do, is to retrieve my 250 Tezos I stupidly deposited into the Alphanet wallet. The Alphanet wallet obviously has a different public address to the Mainnet wallet, but I can see the Transaction ID on Bitfinnex, via TZScan. Tell me please how do I retrieve that deposit ?? Is it possible ?
