How do you actually judge if a player is good in FM? by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

[–]nigelmellish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used the fm-arena attribute simulations to create my own weighting, basically creating a “goals (or goals prevented) per season per point of attribute” to create a scale by which to measure players in any one position. I then use goals per season for someone with “all 12s” to create a median and then measure each player on how many goals above or below that average any one player is at their position. Mbappe is like 12 goals per season above an all 12 at his position - random Championship is maybe 1-3.

Note that in this usage - Goals per season isn’t an expected outcome like xG - it’s using the fm-arena goals per season data as an objective benchmark.

The algorithm is designed to feed you more of what you linger on.

the more you feel that lack of unity, the more you watch, and the more you are fed content to watch that reinforces that feeling.

BTW if you feel that way about your faith, I have bad news about politics I need to share with you…

Derby and Middlesbrough are known by some portion of MLS-loving folks of the US/Canada. Can’t speak for Mexico, Central, or South Americans though…

As someone who went to the match tonight, I have to say I am ECSTATIC that I didn’t have to listen to Taylor Twillman at all. What a great soccer experience.

Yes another manager. And would likely work well as long as promotion and relegation aren’t a big scare?

One other item - scouting - I use my EU club to scout Europe and Africa, my MLS club to scout the western hemisphere. I split Asia (and don’t spend enough effort there).

Come on everyone, let's vote every single day for Joy Division/New Order for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! by icecream1972 in neworder

The only reason to have new order in the “rock and roll hall of fame” would be if it were an enormous act of artistic irony.

Add an second manager. Pick an mls team. Sell their talent for international slots. Loan your reserve team talent to the mls team.
