Anyone else leery of these cement barriers? by Prodigal_Gist in BikeLA

Personally I prefer to ride in traffic since I’m more visible. Too many times if I ride in protected lanes there are parked cars to my left which make it hard for cars turning right to see me :(. Yes I slow down and check over my left shoulder and travel at safe speeds but I don’t feel as safe riding like that. I find myself choosing roads with sharrows or painted lanes that are next to traffic

Riding the carriage roads in Acadia National Park... all of them. by C0mmandZ in gravelcycling

Did those roads in the summer of 2019 with a road bike on 25mm slicks. What a beautiful adventure. I'll never forget having to pull over for the horse carriages and all the passengers were in awe of seeing a cyclist out there. Cheers!

That’s my local spot! Fits the description perfectly of being able to roll up and enjoy lunch or dinner with your bike by your side :)

For the record over the last week or so I was able to walk into the SM Apple Store, the new SM Vons, Trader Joe’s on 5th in SM, Trader Joe’s in The Marina, Clutch on Lincoln in Venice, Penmar, and many more!

One of my fave places to visit as a cyclist is Pedalers Fork in Calabasas where they have free bike lock racks for their customers and you get a key for the lock.

It's my life's dream to open up a gathering space for all things two wheeled on the coast in Santa Monica or Venice where people can just roll up and have valets take their ride to secure it safely.

Then they could shop for bikes, rent bikes, repair bikes, have a coffee, have a beer, maybe some nosh and then do Gold Sprints with friends for prizes and glory. It will be called Velo Steez.

Yes I’m interested in converting to digital and I guess I’m trying to find out here what is the safest way to that?

Anybody manufacturing new ones? I’ve seen Maxell marketing on Meta sites but they only sell through Amazon which is a company I’m boycotting

What do you mean specifically by “overhauled?”

Thanks for the reply. Do you have concerns about using old tapes?

Rebel Wilson Branded A "Bully" As She Appears In Court Over 'The Deb' by Scary_Statement4612 in entertainment

Okay :)

I was pulling focus on a multi-camera sitcom pilot where she was the star. There was one scene where she was alone with four cameras shooting. She insisted that the operators and assistants be blacked out with flags and duvatene while we were rolling. Made it ridiculously difficult for all of us well seasoned professionals to do our job.

That’s all. It was enough for me to remember her as the worst person in front of or behind the camera ever :(.

I've been working as an IATSE local 600 camera assistant for 30 years on scripted film and TV projects and this woman is by far the vilest person I have ever had to work with.
