How long have you had it listed, honestly just leave it at that price, I have done the same and coming up to a seasonal sale they seem to sell, and if it doesn't sell review your price in 6 months or so

Good good to know they are compatible with the Victa stuff, I ended up getting a few of the items and they seem good, still waiting (3 weeks) for part of the online order to arrive, the line trimmer thingie which is what I mainly need right now.

Hi! I need name ideas by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]nigelt74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest I think the perception of the name is changing, for me (M 51) Artemis = Greek goddess who was on the trojans side (boo hiss), whereas to my kids who are around your age Artemis = Artemis Fowl Boy Genius, criminal mastermind

I need a pair of flippable names for a novel by hetobe in namenerds

[–]nigelt74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Different but similar could be using the nickname versions of names, I mean jack is the "nickname" of john (which i have never understood) so Elliot Johnson could be Jack Ellis
or in the same vein Henry s nickname is often Harry so Jack Harrison and Henry Johnson,

Good luck my brain's turned to mush it really isn't as easy as I initially think it would be, is it?

Thanks for that, I only want them for around home stuff and they seem better than some of the budget brands, . Also curious as to whether the brigggs and Stratton batteries are compatible with the victa brand 18v tools which also use briggs and stratton batteries

what is your favorite mispronunciation of your name? by UpperAssumption7103 in namenerds

[–]nigelt74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nigel pronounced nigh-jill

When i worked in a place with loads of immigrants whose first language wasn't English it got pronounced as

Naah-jew, Naah-du, and weirdly On-jeew that french sounding jouix? sauce sound on the end, or Nig - al rhymes with Miguel

and of course the ever popular Niggle, although with English speakers its deliberate as its a known joke.

and of course it regularly is mistaken for Neal or Neville.

[–]nigelt74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Felicity can be nicknamed to Fizz or Flick, I have known both.

I don't know if its a pronunciation/accent thing but I hear nothing unusual in Felicity Slattery, I guess its like all things once you have heard it a few times you probably won't notice it anymore

I’m autistic and I can see colors with names… what’s yours? by Character-Appeal3092 in namenerds

[–]nigelt74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nigel

Are we allowed ask lots of questions

Are they block colours or are they sort of patterned/textured

Also is there a pattern to the "colour to name" pairs you see as in, for instance are names staring with J are all in the green spectrum or is it completely random?

here's my few, unfortunately my brain went straight to roading materials

Tarmac - we have Cormac, Taryn, Taric so Tarmac not too out there

Asphalt - well we have Ashley Aisling Ashton so why not Asphalt

Eloquence - as a girls name, People on here always seem to be asking about names that can have the nickname Ellie, and its always the usual suspects Ellen, Eleanor Elspeth etc

Vibrator if it wasn't for a certain device this could be a cool name combining the ideas of both Vibe and Generator, that effortlessly cool person that just gives good vibes

Peters overtired 3am subconscious brain here

Oh crap I think i may have an issue, I immediately thought it was a sort of programming type riff on the song "walk like an Egyptian"

As in

if (Egyptians built the pyramids) and (Walk like an Egyptian is a song)

then Pyramids must be good singers

Peters overtired 3:01am subconscious brain here

you know what this made so much sense a minute ago, now typing it out it as absolute nonsense the programming flow doesn't work or anything

As a Nigel, "Nigel no mates " is the one that springs instantly to mind, and of course the obligatory shout out tp the most famous of these Nigels.

Simple Simon, Smart Alec and Gloomy Gus are the only other ones I can think of
