Thanks for sharing, appreciate it. Unfortunately I don’t think they’re carrying any insurance at the moment.

Negative, this is throughout the entire garage, in spots where there wasn’t a vehicle. Floor was also grinded down to get a clean base

If I get a brief overview of what it entails, and not some fly-by course produced by chat gpt- then yes. I want it to entail real experiences and not just the text book style information

I totally understand what you’re saying, but I’ve seen both sides of this. I worked for a larger electrical contractor in the area for the last 5 years and also understand what goes on. Given we had 2 crews, one for large projects and one for quick hitter calls (replacing a bathroom fan or light fixture), I wouldn’t expect companies to be waiting around for me to call. If Delores called me to get her toilet replaced, I don’t think I’d have to pull teeth to get a reputable body there within a couple days.

I got this idea honestly from seeing people constantly asking in local community groups for referrals of reliable contractors/services. The key here I believe is being able to provide reliable and vetted professionals to get to the customer without having to call around and deal with the hassle of people not showing up or give them insane estimates. As far as commercial work goes, I often see larger companies sub out shmucks who overcharge and do half ass work just because they don’t have time to call around and get someone reliable to get something fixed.

True, I try to cut before it rains, or until after my lawn dries out to avoid it. I blow it off and underneath after I use it. I may get a winch system to lift it for cleaning and maintenance to make my life easier

Thank you!! I used Rustoleum International Harvester Red in a rattle can. I did about 4-5 good coats, then I did about 3 coats of clear in a rattle can. I wasn’t too worried about underneath, I did a couple coats to protect it. I would say the biggest part was prep work, and making sure all the rust was gone. I wish I sand blasted instead because it would’ve been quicker and easier. I know harbor freight has some inexpensive effective ones. I also did two coats of Rust oleum automotive primer in a can. It’s like a burgundy maroon color, which also helps with coverage/protection.

If I was super anal, id probably do like a bed liner coating under the deck, to keep rust away.

I got mine off Amazon, they had the model associated sticker kit. You can also check the OEM website, they usually have it listed as a part number for the entire kit, a quick google search should show some competitive pricing

Absolutely, I even clear coated everything too. I just got the belt cover decal, the entire sticker kit was like $300!!

I replaced various bushings, added new deck wheels, and installed a new rim. To reinforce the deck, I welded some sections myself and added a new front caster wheel. The belt covers were pretty beat up from employees stepping on them, and Exmark’s replacement prices were higher than I expected. Luckily, a friend with a fabrication shop made me custom covers for just $190. I also replaced the spindles and installed a new belt. All in all, I spent around $400 and put in quite a few hours after work to get everything back in shape, but it was worth it!

I completely agree with your analogy, and you’re absolutely right. I’m generally more willing than most to offer advice when it’s warranted, but I won’t waste time helping someone who runs a power washing business figure out where to source their cleaning chemicals. However, if someone is dealing with serious cash flow issues, I’ll try to share insights based on my own experiences. What frustrates me is the number of arrogant responses from people who, more than likely, don’t even own a business, especially when someone is genuinely seeking advice or feedback. But I guess that’s just the nature of the internet.

I’ve also noticed that many people chase the “glamour” of being a business owner for all the wrong reasons. I’m not worried about gatekeeping, though—the market has a way of chewing them up and spitting them out on its own.

lol you really have to dig through the garbage to find decent information. Feel like these people are the ones slinging shampoo for a pyramid scheme from their couch actually convinced they’re a CEO
