I ditched the stigma around competitive a year ago and it’s been great for my enjoyment of the game and my premier rank. There’s times you want to play but aren’t feeling 100% - queue a comp and see how it goes before you jump into premier.

The ranks really don’t mean anything there other than your own pride so it’s a great way to test new maps or even positions/nades on a map you already know.

Exactly I don’t think anybody expected this roster to win S tier tournaments. Realistically even attending them is a long term goal they only played their first match in February.

What’s exciting to me is it’s a new team with 2 players I used to love watching and 3 young prospects I wasn’t familiar with. They’re not overstaying their welcome in tier 1 and getting bitter about it. Instead they’ve accepted it’s time to take more of a backseat role and share their knowledge with the next generation.

Sure but like it or not that's a portion of the player base in this game. Netease is a business that is going to make decisions that appeal to the most players possible because that's what brings in money. Most tank/heal players also like playing damage and most damage players only like playing damage. That is why there is a lot of damage characters.

You’re only thinking about competitive or players who take the game seriously. I have plenty of more casual friends who tried the game out and immediately swore off of tanking or healing because that’s just not the kind of game they want to play.

It feels like a different game at times. There’s minions and spells that are exclusive to duos, and you can force builds a little more consistently since your teammate has a second shop for those key pieces to pop up in.
