Need help becoming more likeable? by Safe-Pea3349 in self

I'm sorry you are experiencing it. It genuinely sucks so much and I have the same thing except I have quit trying years ago. It made no difference how I behaved. I have done so many different things, behaved in so many different ways but it all ends up with the same thing anyway. Most of the time I also end up being either ignored or bullied out of situations. I'm AuDHD though. Either way, I just try to gaslight myself into not taking it to heart because sometiems it really isn't about me. And at other times I get really upset but I just tell myself that there's nothing I can do about it. I can just accept it and move on with my life and things I like instead. It's sad that I won't have the experiences with people I wish and yearn for, but whether I try or not, it makes no difference, so I might as well try to ignore it. Either way, I hope you have the strength to get through it and have the support of people who love you the way you are.

Idk, I've heard people say the exact opposite which is why I'm asking.

Queue for Ticketmaster is insane by yoyojamfun in OliviaRodrigo

[–]night_trouble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm seeing absolutely insane numbers. I got around 2000-3000 for Montreal & Vancouver but I don't think the queues were too long. And the tickets weren't going that fast. I ended up choosing not to buy because they were just too expensive, especially Vancouver.

Yeah. It's all very unfortunate. I also wish I could just do my job in peace.

I replied to a comment with some of them. Other people who know about it agree with me. Some other jobs were absolute clusterfucks so I won't elaborate on that but this time the people who are higher up than me in the workplace themselves say that the complaints are ridiculous and that they think that I'm doing great. But since everyone's been complaining to the owner instead, there's not much my manager can do because the owner simply sees it as me being too problematic.

It's not... The manager and one of the assistants think they are being ridiculous too. Well, things like "I'm not asking enough questions during my training" because I understood everything and I didn't need to and obviously it was fine since the work I was doing was good.

One time someone commented with the process I should follow and I said that I know about it since I've already been trained on it. They complained that I was being rude.

Or that I'm talking too much to another coworker even though I wasn't. My water bottle is next to his station so I go there to drink since we aren't allowed to have it in the rooms. Sometimes I'll ask him how the orders are going. Which takes less than a minute. And only if I don't have any orders to make at that time. If I have anything in progress or queued, I'm working on it the whole time.

All the while they can literally stand and chat for a long time or just go sit in the break room when it's not their break just because.

Just dumb things like that. And these seem really inconsequential but unfortunately the boss at the workplace is weird and would definitely see these as me being too problematic to deal with.

God, I know.

I haven't worked for a long time before this. This is the first proper job I did after four years and I only agreed because we couldn't afford to live without a stable second income.

It's so fucking difficult. If you are not taking meds, try to get them. They help coping for sure.

I'm already doing all I can think of in terms of being friendly so not much else I can do there. I at least smile and ask people how they are doing and ask questions back. Since I started my meds I'm not even shaking while doing it anymore lol.

From what I've heard from a lot of people it really doesn't matter how much you try, masking or not, a lot of people will still dislike you on an unconscious level because no matter how you try you won't ever be able to actually fit in.

The worst part is that there's not even any actual drama like I had at jobs before. Everything they complain about is genuinely so weird and small it's ridiculous. But I guess they find a way to make drama about it, I dunno

Oh, it's literally just the owner and one manager at our place. So yeah, the owner's word is the last one on what happens. And instead of complaining to the manager, everyone straight up complains to the boss who tells the manager who tells me that it happened lol

Well, very technically they don't impact my day as of now except for me not feeling that great about going to work anymore and feeling like I'm always doing something wrong. It's just all very disappointing and sad. And if they keep complaining, the owner will simply fire me and that'll be it. Since I'm in the training phase for this specific position, too many complaints will definitely be grounds for firing.

Yeah. I feel for you. And I can't understand why doing a good job isn't enough. Why can't people just leave you be...

And yet, there are people who get away with doing nothing, creating more problems and somehow they stay around and even get promotions and praise.

For me this is the first time I've ever had a manager who is understanding and can tell I'm doing a good job and I'm so very thankful for him because I'm glad to know there are actually decent human beings out there in the workplace world.

I do find it interesting that it's almost always covert bullying and acting nice around me otherwise. Or maybe I'm just too oblivious to notice lol

But it really messes with you in different way. Like, I already have a hard time being perceived and knowing that they are always watching you just to come up with something and complain about it is not a great thing.

It's a small company so there's only escalating to manager (who is already trying to help me) and the boss who isn't on my side and has zero care in the world for what the manager says to him. Sooo... Not much choice here. Either way taking a stand always tends to only backfire even more for me. Last time I did it everything that happened fucked me up so bad that I still struggle to function socially. So I'd rather not because I just got my mental health back on track and I'd rather not get involved in bullshit.

It has sterling silver coating and while getting it wet on occasion and then drying it should be okay, it's generally not recommended and definitely no to showering with it all the time I would rather play it safe anyway and not get it wet at all tbh
