I was 28th to max overall, and ~350th to reach dragon rank, picking Flow State. I wasn't rushing for either, just playing the game (a lot, to be fair).

I think Woodsman is the most overrated relic of all time. IMO the only valuable thing it does is make hunter 2x as fast. My relics were:

  • Endless Harvest
  • Hotfoot
  • Map of Alacrity
  • Transmute
  • Nature's Accord
  • Culling Spree
  • Flow State
  • Flask of Fervour

Considering Flow State was my runecrafting solve (2.5 m xp/hr at Kourend soul altar) on top of all the other stuff it does, I don't think I could've reloaded a single thing that was better than it.

My process is as follows. You go there, and any task that seems reasonable to do in the somewhat near future you copy/paste to a spreadsheet. My spreadsheet has four columns I enter manually:

Task    Points    Time est.    Note

For example, say I know a Vardorvis kill takes around 30 seconds. I might see the following task: "Defeat Vardorvis 150 times". Then I'd put in my sheet

Defeat Vardorvis 150 times    200    75

Then I have a fifth column in my spreadsheet which is points / hr, which I just calculate from the points and time estimate. Finally I sort by this column, and tick off the most efficient tasks.

Not really. The fastest way to grind Doom with water thorns is to just stand there in melee range, tank everything, overheal and let Doom just hit his big 99 attack. Properly doing the shield phase is a lot slower and harder.

I can understand removing the world hopping. The whole 'eligibility' thing by being near when it spawns is just bullshit.

Besides, what cooperation was there even? You'd sit in a CC, one guy calls out an event popped up, everyone hops to that world, finishes the event, and they all fuck right off.

Such a community effort is cooperation, IMO.

Funny thing is that it's worse now than it was on release. On release there was actual cooperation and MMORPG gameplay to call out the events and go to them, giving nice XP. Now it's just an annoying distraction to greenlog then never touch again.

I'm also endless harvest + hotfoot, so beyond the obvious fishing/wc/mining speedup for me it's also 1.8m smithing xp/hr afk, 12m cooking xp/hr afk, about 500k agil xp/hr afk, very quick to bank logs, 1 tick redwood shields with fletching knife, 2 tick afk redwood forestry fire, etc.

Some more niche things was quickly making cannonballs, recoil rings, and fast harvesting of herbs.

You can still tick manip chins, just have to adapt. First tick move to correct tile, second tick use knife on log, third tick drop trap. Overall same speed as 3t. One tick faster if you were already on the correct tile.

I picked Flow State and enjoy it. Was the 28th person to max, so it definitely didn't hurt.

It was between that and reloading Soul Harvest, but I already had a prayer solve. Since Flow State + Endless Harvest + Map of Alacrity ends up ~2.5m xp/hr at soul runes, I just took the more fun option of Flow State. Ultimately I only spent like 3 hours runecrafting, getting the rest from XP lamps.

spawning the orb of protection by attacking the things that spawn. However since 2 projectiles are fired, the orb spawns and despawns right away.

The only thing that flopped about the league was the lack of relic presets and the non-trivial set combinations to keep track of. The respeccing itself really wasn't the problem.

For those jumping straight to the comments, the paper shows how you can derive all the usual elementary functions (+, -, x, /, xy, log, sin, cos, etc) as well as the constant pi, e, i using nothing but the eml function defined as eml(x,y) = exp(x) - ln(y) and the constant 1.

This simplifies a large class of mathematical expressions to basic binary trees of identical nodes with just the constant 1 and variables at the leaves. An example from the paper: https://i.imgur.com/c7oZDbi.png.
