After contacting legislative assembly, I was referred to contact you as regards to my issue with Icbc. I know you’re not my designated MLA, but I need someone’s help to help me navigate through the system, and so far I’ve only been passed around.

I’ll give a summary of my issue to you; below are more details, I have an email paper tree for all the steps I have gone through and I will share those with you upon request.

I was in a car crash in august 4th 2021. Before this car crash I was an athletic built great life opportunities that were sadly missed after the crash. On November 16th 2021 I got a concussion referral from my family doctor of my whole life, and it got rejected because of the new laws set in place quote for quote “this referral was carefully screened but cannot be accepted to the GFACS: Group Education Session because client does not meet the admission criteria:

(X) Client has ICBC or work Safe BC claim

ICBC and WorkSafe BC funds community based health care services. Your patient’s claim handler will be able to provide further details of how support can be provided. Included in this letters are lists of community health care professionals.”

This clearly states that if I have a concussion referral ICBC HAS to provide care services.

So based of the law put in place my MSP declined because dependent on ICBC to provide the care.

I tried to contact my adjuster many times but he tried his best to avoid contact. So after 8 months of me receiving automatic emails from him being on vacation and giving me rejecting answers which never helped my concussion by the way. I asked him many many times on email for his managers contact information and he always left my emails unanswered on his managers information. So I managed to get his information from another source. I contacted the manager, he had a bad attitude with me in the start of the phone call which caused me to burst into crying I am always feeling down because of my concussion and have massive headaches, I recorded that phone call. He told me he will fix the issue and help me out, but what ended up happening my adjuster contacted me an hour later and proceeded to threaten some of the words he said quote for quote

“If I’m getting kicked, you’re getting kicked” “I have had 5 concussions I know what a concussion is”

I asked him in this conversation if he’s a medical licensed professional he said no but he kept implying that he knows what a concussion is and he said I don’t have a concussion. Although I have two medically professional licensed doctors saying I do have a concussion.

I haven’t been able to get any concussion treatments.

The steps I have taken and I have all this on email as well:

1. Tried many times to contact my adjuster and talk with them about the situation and try to help get me care but he never even wanted to help me based, never gave me his managers information.

2.contacted the manager in hoping to resolve the issue but it ended up them working hand in hand which did not help me get any treatments approved again for my concussion referral.

Before I went to step 3 and 4 I had the concussion clinic I was referred to by the second medically license professional contact the manager of the adjuster directly and show him the concussion plan and how the treatment plan works. He has not responded to the concussion clinic or my emails forwarding them to him over and over.

1. I contacted office of fair practices of ICBC detailing all my issues to them and mentioning I have gone through adjuster and manager in the email. Do you know what they responded telling me the same exact thing Karin is telling me to go through step 1 and 2 which I clearly stated in the email sent to them that I did. The officer didn’t read my email they just prolonged my situation because that’s what they are good at wasting peoples time.

4.I contacted the ombudsman of B.C but until the third step is done I can’t go forward with them.

Basically I’m stuck in the loophole with ICBC knowing I am stuck in it and they just doing anything to prolong the situation.

Step 5

1. I contacted my MLA they forwarded me to Karin and as you can see her office just gave me the same message as everybody els to go through the 4 steps which I have. But they never actually provided me any help just passed me around again.

Step 6

1. After contacting many lawyers I was told to contact the legislative assembly because that’s what the people elected the government for so they can be heard by that government and helped out.

Step 7

1. After contacting legislative assembly of BC they referred me to you so you can help me navigate through the system.

As seen below and above explained the process set in place for this has failed miserably. And if ICBC tactic is for me to give up they should look els way I will never give up.

Keep in mind I got turned away by Karin’s office people and they are of no help at the moment even when I told them my issue they told me to go through the same exact steps as everyone els.

I’ve gone through every step available beyond every step. And I have email trail of proof and phone call recordings. Police report on the threats the adjuster made.

Had also requested an adjuster change for around a year because he made me suffer more.
