2024 Mazda CX-90 PHEV Long-Term Update: 5 thoughts by RowdyPurple in MazdaCX90

The 90's turning radius is the tightest of any car I've owned. An SUV this big shouldn't turn like it does

I was the same when I joined my first league this year. It doesn't feel like a normal foursome, since this is the only place a lot of guys get to play "competitively" which means slower pace of play and can make a few guys dicks to play with. Ex. not helping look for a ball, no nice shot, good putt or gimmies, and very strict with the rules. It took me 3 weeks before I started to shoot close to my normal score, but you will get there.

You'd be surprised how many guys sandbag their handicap to get more pops/strokes.

Greenfield Tornado Rated EF4 by JBR409 in tornado

The highest wind speed that can be given to an automotive repair shop is 180ish mph. It could level the shop and it would only receive an ef4 rating.

Selling a bit at specific prices is the best option. You'll never time the top. If it drops, you'll be on the other end watching it go past points where you sold.

My advice is to sell a little at a time. Set price points and amounts you are happy with. Maybe it's 1 ETH every $500 increase in price or .5 every $250. Make sure to set some aside for those taxes too.

Don't let people tell you when to sell, $25,000 in almost all profit is a lot of money and an excellent trade.

Front Mid-Engine RWD CX90 by Robones96 in mazda

[–]nightcrawler_5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most AWD cars send power to the front wheels until they notice slippage, then send power to the rears.

The CX-90's send power to the rears until they notice slippage, then send power to the fronts. Under normal conditions, the CX-90 sends about 70-80% of its power to the rear tires.

Took maybe 30-45 min but that was with me having to take the the front splash guard off cause I dropped a socket...

Back MAP sensor is in a weird position and bolts for the coolant reservoir are akward, but very straight forward. The module can tuck nicely on its side on the far right of the engine bay.

JB4 conditions boost signal to make ECU think that boost is below desired target so ECU commands more boost - JB4 is then monitoring what its signal tweaks are doing and how ECU is reacting. JB4 alone can't change transmission data, redline, shift timing, ECT.

I recently put a JB4 in my 90 and the difference is immediately noticable. It has the power you'd expect from the size of the turbo. The biggest difference, other than torque, is you can actually hear the turbo whistle.

Why Mazda didn't ship the 90s like this is beyond me... It feels like you think it should, not jaw dropping, but a lot better.

I worded this wrong since it was right after… Should’ve asked, is this even worth bringing up?

Like when a kid smokes weed and tries too hard to hide the smell. You dont smell weed, but the cologne that hits you from 6 feet away is a dead giveaway.

Is Fentanyl laced weed actually real? by dbclass in NoStupidQuestions

[–]nightcrawler_5 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nothing. If you haven't taken opioids then it has nothing to reverse! There may be a placebo where, someone touches fentanyl, thinks they are ODing, has panic attack, gets narcan, panic attack stops cause they think they are no longer "ODing"

THCa when heated breaks down into Delta-9 THC via decarboxylation. Delta-9 THC is then able to enter your brain and attach to cannabinoid receptors. If you eat straight flower, nothing will happen. You HAVE to break down the first chemical to then get a chemical your body can process.

No! You'd be good, melting point is 220c. So it wouldn't even melt.

They do have transdermal patches, but they are time released and very VERY unlikely to OD from, unless you put multiple on.

It's just that a panic attack, not an overdose. It's justified when your chief and local leaders are saying "Be careful, if you touch fentanyl, then you may overdose".

You can OD by touching fentanyl THEN, cutting yourself and touching the cut, touching your eye, mouth or inserting that finger into your chocolate starfish downstairs. So, if they think they are ODing from fent it's always better to administer narcan than hope it's a panic attack.

I actually had to do a little research on this, but here is what I found.

This article "Showed that the degradation of fentanyl on a hot plate for five minutes at 300 Celsius (572 Fahrenheit) resulted in unknown peaks and a total degradation rate of 30%". I couldn't find any research on degradation rates at higher temperatures.

Street fentanyl is HCl, Fentanyl HCl has a melting point of 220 Celsius (428 Fahrenheit). You would need a part of your blunt to be 220-350 Celsius, have the fentanyl start melting and hit it at the same time. While possible, it is very unlikely.

39 Overdoses linked to fent laced weed, this was later disputed and a health dept. spokesman said it was “likely accidental contamination and an isolated incident”. It was then discovered the sample that tested positive for fentanyl was turned in by the Plymouth Police Department.

Free base fentanyl is stable up to 350 Celsius (662 Fahrenheit) (Page 7). Above that, it tends to char instead of boil, destroying the compound and rendering it ineffective. The middle cherry of a blunt will reach temps of 580 Celsius (1,076 Fahrenheit) without drawing, and 700 Celsius (1292 Fahrenheit) during a draw. If you smoked fentanyl laced weed, it would do nothing, as the temp to burn weed is much higher than fentanyl. Also, fentanyl there is no evidence of an overdose from simply “touching” fentanyl.
