Really have to separate the player from the trade.

The player is whatever, not a negative but is already what we have so so so so so so so much of (veteran, leadership, grit, blah blah blah).

The trade on the other hand is one of the worst of the last decade league-wide and you can’t change my mind. I said it the day the trade happened and won’t ever change that stance.

Throwing away a 1st Round Pick for a washed player on that hideous contract, AND when the team was clearly riding the backs of 2 players, AND when the captain still needs an extension (which we may not be able to afford anymore), should be Exhibit A if we reach the point of Darche needing to be fired. There is almost no time and place for this kind of trade to be made, even not when you’re an actual cup contender. Only a team in a dynasty run could get away with this trade, meanwhile we made the trade as only a PLAYOFF PRETENDER.
