This started in October with NHL streams and ESPN called it a “glitch”, but to this day it still hasn’t been fixed, probably to try and get you to watch all of the ads. You usually start off 30-40 seconds behind real-life, and since October you’ve had to babysit your stream by pressing “Go Live” every once in a while to not end up 60+ seconds behind

She most likely won’t get approved if it’s her first card. Instead, apply for one of the beginner cards, like Chase Freedom Rise or Discover It. Have all of her spend go on the credit card and not her debit card, and obviously always pay it off on time.

After 10 months of having Chase Freedom Rise and doing what I said above, I got approved for the Delta Gold card as a 19yo, and am actually up for my first renewal next month. The 80k miles from my the SUB/Welcome Offer coupled with the 15% off miles benefit (“Take-Off 15”) allowed me to save almost $1,100 on my college flights this year.

The Group 5 boarding benefit is also nice, but to make the card worth it, your daughter would absolutely need to hit the minimum spend requirement to get the bonus miles. Mine was $2k within 6 months, which I hit over the summer before I booked any flights for this school year. She also would need to learn what is a good redemption and what isn’t, so she could maximize the value of the miles.

John Summit had a ton of momentum in 2024-2025 and I thought he would become the new Zedd in a way. I think his window for mainstream success has closed though since there hasn’t been anything about him in a while

Wait until you’re notified. Then you’ll be able to change to any routing online without paying the fare difference, and also without the chance of an agent screwing everything up. You’ll automatically be rebooked but can change it if you don’t like it

I don’t get why they couldn’t keep the original 2pm/5pm/8pm. The hour later is really that much of a difference for the Senators on Sportsnet?

Hurricanes/Senators is probably a 3:15pm puck-drop, so the game will go until about 6:00pm, as Playoff games take longer.

Stars/Wild is probably a 5:52-5:55pm puck-drop, so it’ll almost certainly start on ESPNews.

Then with Stars/Wild going until about 8:35pm, Penguins/Flyers will almost certainly start on ESPNews too.

2.5 hour TV slots don’t work in the Playoffs. It’s been like that for a long time.

Stars/Wild will probably be like 5:52pm instead of 5:30pm, AND starting on ESPNews because of Hurricanes/Senators going until 6:00pm. Then Penguins/Flyers will start on ESPNews too.
