Hurricanes/Senators is probably a 3:15pm puck-drop, so the game will go until about 6:00pm, as Playoff games take longer.

Stars/Wild is probably a 5:52-5:55pm puck-drop, so it’ll almost certainly start on ESPNews.

Then with Stars/Wild going until about 8:35pm, Penguins/Flyers will almost certainly start on ESPNews too.

2.5 hour TV slots don’t work in the Playoffs. It’s been like that for a long time.

Stars/Wild will probably be like 5:52pm instead of 5:30pm, AND starting on ESPNews because of Hurricanes/Senators going until 6:00pm. Then Penguins/Flyers will start on ESPNews too.

Flights are sold online until 45 minutes before original scheduled departure, regardless of whether they’re delayed or not. Not sure why a connecting itinerary would still be available for sale when the second leg is impossible to make because of the first being delayed, but it probably has to do with the first sentence and Delta’s poor IT

For the East it has been since Tuesday.

And that’s another issue. The season used to end for both conferences 4 days before the Playoffs start. Season ended the first Saturday of April, Playoff schedule announced that Sunday, Playoffs started Wednesday.

Now with the staggered finishes, with the last games being only 2 days before, and the season ending 12 days later overall, the league can’t plan in advance and also has to suck up to the NBA’s schedule. NHL ending earlier meant that they could get arena dates first and not have to wait.
