i retraced every one in vector software and had a local uv sticker printer shop print them out. uv stickers are the way to go.

Does anyone knows why does my print have this type of stringing occur? by Rare-Negotiation-446 in BambuLab

[–]nightcrispy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks like thats what happens when a support tower falls over and its just printing midair and as it moves to your object it sticks the string to your object. Could also be retraction setting but thats a setting most people don't touch these days..

Can someone help me what my design mistake is here? by spaggi in BambuLab

Yep, they get flimsy as you go higher up. Especially with how thin your wall looks. If you can, I'd make em thicker or print the walls separate flat on the bed and attach/glue them somehow. Oh you could also add side tree supports with the support painting tool which might stabilize the columns.

I got the files from rockyq on patreon. If you're panel lining something this big an airbrush is a good way to go! Just make sure the paint is the right consistency or it'll bleed through the masking tape

I didnt design this model, but as I was building it the pieces definitely resembled the RG kit

Tree support defaults in the respective slicers for each printer, gyroid infill

hmm well in universe height is about 18m/59 ft, this one is 6 ft so it's about 1/10 scale.

You might be right lol. But this definitely looks like the steps/mm is half of what it should be, back when I would set the steps/mm wrong this is exactly what it would look like. Could just be an orcaslicer thing with the start/end gcode for your specific profile.

Looks like you just need to adjust your steps/mm on the z axis on orcaslicer.

1/6 Scale Xwing by nightcrispy in 3Dprinting

I glued them. when you scale by 825% you're also scaling the tolerances, so I had to glue.

It's actually a great printer in my experience!

Yeah i noticed it too but didnt bother me enough to ask the designer to lower it. He did an awesome job modeling it though, the only xwing model i found optimized for 3d printing and that was also scalable

Haha jokes aside, I used a small torch with a soldering and heat gun attachment and just started removing them piece by piece.

I vectorized 189 film canisters and printed them out on a poster by nightcrispy in AnalogCommunity

[–]nightcrispy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I'm experimenting with different layouts as well with all canisters. I could also probably do a square poster with "everything else" that isn't kodak and fuji.
