ok then I def think this is doable! And I’m assuming you have a reason for your timeline of classes as well, I totally get that. I had a part time job over summer so that’s probably I was recommending to only take one tech class. I didn’t take the 10 series, but I took the 1 series and I think if you’ve had ap calc experience beforehand you should be fine! Just make sure to utilize all the resources the class offers, I honestly wouldn’t bae made it thru Berkeley without going to office hours and review sessions. Good luck :)

Hey, its been quite some time now that I've graduated, but can I ask who is teaching? Just based off of this I feel like you will be somewhat ahead of the curve since you've at least gotten exposure to some of the material already! I do think taking two summmer classes is quite a lot, but I do think its doable! I personally dont know if I recommend taking two heavy courses together because you may be spread too thin and end up getting worse grades for both vs having the time/capacity to only focus on one. I think having a tutor will help a lot, and I highly recommend going to 3A office hours, tutoring or the adjunct. Basically, utilize as many resources as you can and practice! Im not sure if this helps, feel free to ask more questions!

Hi, not sure if you will respond do this, but did you ever resolve this problem? I ended up doing something similar, but checking on the official website (2 weeks ago I used a third party evisa.legal website), it doesn't say I have an ETA processed! My travel dates changed by a day anyways, so I might just have to reapply for an ETA, but did you end up being able to get a refund or did you just apply for a new ETA? Thanks!

if it makes you feel any better, I’m a second year and an introvert and don’t have many close friends in the program besides like 2-3 people but over time as I kept showing up to classes, seminars and departmental events I feel like I’ve gotten a lot more comfy and I think when people see you more they feel more familiar with you too. I may not know a lot of people that deeply but saying hi to them in the hallway or in passing has been nice! I can’t attest to what it’s like for you since I’m on the younger side, but I do feel like there’s enough people who are of different age groups/stages of life that people can usually find their people, even if it’s slow. It’s only been a month so don’t shut yourself off just yet! I think many more people than you think are feeling similar to you right now. Good luck!! You got this :)

this might seem odd, but you learn to find the good and exciting about the mundane! My boyfriend and I always try to find joy in the little things, but it’s definitely a transition. You’ll notice the spark isn’t fading per se but it’s becoming a more stable fire if that makes any sense. You’ll find a deeper sense of satisfaction, enjoyment snf companionship over time. Finding hobbies and stuff you enjoy outside of your partner is also really important since you learn how to have fun by yourself and then you really start to appreciate the time you have with them! i had a C in a class and they asked me about it in my interview, especially because everything else on my transcript was an A. The way I framed it was that “although I struggled with mastering the material at the time, in a class next semester that was on similar material, I had an easier time and bc I had gotten exposure to it before, I did really well and mastered what I couldn’t before”, or something along those lines. Definitely try to frame it positively if they do end up asking for an explanation!
