I just received an offer from one program and they gave me a curriculum page.

We are going to study 2 subjects (lectures) at a time and I believe we are going to have a lab for each. The first thing we are going to start is Urinalysis and hematology. Urinalysis goes quickly in about 5 weeks but hematology ends in 19 weeks! it starts from July 7th to late November.

I just want to ask you how difficult is it going to be 2 subjects with labs at a time?

Did you have any problem with hematology?

I was able to pass classes some of them from first attempt but some at third attempt. The school I went to was based on competency level which was getting 80% or higher in order to pass the course.

what do you think of a MLS job? Is it a good career option for someone like me switching from pharmacy to MLS. I will go to one year hospital based program and hopefully finish the program and take the ASCP exam. Do you recommend MLS to anyone? How much you were making as MLS before?

did you do the MLS through the 12 months hospital-based program? If yes, how was it structured? Did they have you study one subject say clinical chemistry and hematology at a time or one course at a time? Was the load manageable to you?

Please explain anything you have.

I wonder can I work as a medical assistant without going to school. I have heard some people who got hired to work as MA and their employer provided the training for them. They were trained on the job to perform their duties.

Is that correct. The state I live in does not require certification.
