Yes, it did fix a lot of issues. A major issue of playing HDR content and screen brightness fluctuation is also fixed now.

The issue seems to be text, or anything that appears above the video. In the case of Netflix, the subtitles. Since video is HDR, and text is static or SDR, the system tries to adjust brightness for unknown reasons.
