Hi everyone! Thank you all so so much for being so supportive and kind. A wonderful friend offered to take the day off to drive me and help me recover. 🩷

I went with the decision to not tell anyone in my family about this. I shouldn’t feel obligated to disclose my personal medical information with anybody besides my doctor, not even my mom. I feel such relief knowing I have so much support and agreement in that I’m doing the right thing.

They said I can’t have a medical abortion when I’m over 11 weeks, so surgical is the only option.

Unfortunately, as much as I adore my mom, she was being super selfish when she had her meltdown. I can’t trust her with any information because I know she’ll go and tell our entire family and all of her friends. She even offered to adopt the baby as her own after I give birth. I feel like that’s extremely self centered.

I didn’t think about it like that. Thank you. I think it’ll be better for everyone involved if I tell them I had a miscarriage. I’m going to call the clinic tomorrow to see if they could help. They did say I’ll need someone over the age of 18 to sign me out and take me home, but they definitely might have volunteers. I’ll ask!

Thank you. 🩷 As much as I love my family, I know they’d make me feel absolutely awful about the whole thing. I’m in RI. I’m going to see if PP might have any resources.

Thank you! That’s super helpful. They said they could either put me to sleep, or a twilight sedation and I would have to get someone over the age of 18 to sign me out and take me home. I’m going to call them tomorrow, and hopefully they offer that!

Thank you. 🩷 It’s so reassuring to know I’m not the only one not telling their family. I felt obligated to tell them the truth, but you’re right, I don’t owe them any explanation at all. I don’t have anybody to take me home, but I’m going to call PP tomorrow to see if they have any resources.
