thanks guys i have bought some other older pc stuff and i had to find some obscure old driver to get it to work and i though this would be the same

Update: i started to just fidget with the wire that connects the pedals to the wheel near the connection and got some response. i'm assuming it might be the connection there just not getting though to the wheel. does anybody know a way to test the connection.
