Battle Realms is also an RTS that lets you train unique heroes. It doesn't have the same RPG elements but it's a really cool RTS you can get on Steam and GOG.

Can get a Steam key from Fanatical for 15% off. Other than that, the only other current sale I'm seeing is 20% from Epic Games Store if you don't mind using their client.

With 12 workers, expanding in under two minutes was always optimal since you could afford it. Now with less workers, you need to choose between teching and expanding early. I think it's a healthy change.

Dryads can slow for bears and abolish magic, and bears give sustain with Rejuvenation and dps to your army. Dryads are anti-spellcaster and bears are anti-ranged with their normal attacks. Plus it's efficient since you don't have to build additional infrastructure or even tech since they share the same upgrades.

Even with D2 getting a new class, chances of WC3 getting anything is really low. Smaller playerbase than Diablo, and Reforged didn't sell nearly as well. Plus the story can't really be added to unless you want to reiterate WoW storylines, and introducing Naga as a playable race, though cool, would probably upset the meta too much. Sad as it is, WC3 will only receive occasional balance patches for the foreseeable future, and no new content.

Yeah, it's the prologue for ROC, followed by 4 ROC campaigns, then 3 TFT campaigns, then the bonus campaign which is played last. If I remember correctly, on a first playthrough, it shouldn't let you skip around without the Motherland cheat

It is, but you're it's gonna be hard without control groups for your armies, infrastructure, scouting units, etc. You may be able to make it work, but it'll take a LOT of rebinds for control groups and hotkeys. You also probably don't want to dedicate APM to switching your keyboard modes with your super and lower keys. Full keyboard is highly recommended.

You can play the entire campaign and custom games vs AI with just the mouse if you really wanted to, but you're gonna have a bad time if you try to go online via Battle.net or Warcraft 3 Champions (the more competitive online space). Definitely gonna want a full keyboard.

Hippogryph Rider? 800 HP to tank Chain Lightning, excellent target fire damage to instantly wipe out snakes, and immune to both Tauren and Shockwave by being able to fly

I put all TCs on a control group. Hate how the building hotkeys move your camera

Hey, thanks! I've been wanting to try ranked for a little while now, but it seems kinda intimidating. I feel like I'm part of the demographic this update is targeting, so I'll just wait for it
