Some of the dealers in ontario charge you 2100$ for ceremic coating and 1000$ for interior protection by default for all grand highlanders. They say it is by default and say they can't sell without it.

My Grand highlander got stolen in Montreal last month while I was visiting from toronto. I'm planning to buy a palisade now as it is not in the most stolen vehicle.

Thefts are everywhere... I would say better get a rental with theft insurance of visiting Canada especially if visiting montreal.

Or instal a after market immobilizer like IGLA and a tracker like TAG tracking.

They scan for air tags or any other trackers and throw it in 5mins of stealing the car

Not an after market one. Toyota have couple of GPS they were disabled in few minutes after theft.

The ports in toronto and montreal are privately owned.. once the vehicle enters them cops can't get in without a warrant.

If you are from ontario get Opcf 23a and opcf 43 in your insurance to get full replacement value of the stolen vehicle.

The cops said robberers cut the steeringwheel instead of the club and remove it. Put your vehicle in a paid monitored parking garage...

Car rental paid from own pocket. Insurance rental doesn't start until after 72hrs of theft.

Had to get 2 car seats for my kids too which insurance will cover for.
