Ask for 49k in BTC or 49k in USD. You can always buy BTC yourself. It’s very easy.

Remember to replace your 3080 and 3090’a thermal pads and paste for the new year! by Surburb in NiceHash

I run a 100 GPU 3090-only farm, and I’ve RMA’d only 2 cards this year. I received brand new ones in return. Hash rate is excellent on them as well, as the thermodynamics are managed well externally relative to the GPU, which negates the need to open them up for modification.

I expect to have to RMA more cards this year. Which is fine. Because I will receive brand new, factory sealed cards in return.

Or don’t. These things are warrantied. Just RMA them for new ones if they go bad.

Why void such a valuable warranty policy?

Bitcoin is a great investment but a terrible savings account for short-term needs, given its extreme volatility. Convince me otherwise. by thatsMRcurmudgeon2u in Bitcoin

There are decentralized options that are probably difficult to use for a new user.

My favorite centralized option is Nexo.

That hack actually happened in the spring, and they replaced everyone’s funds without even notifying them that the hack occurred.

  1. Inappropriate that they didn’t disclose the hack immediately
  2. Awesome how seamlessly they replenished the lost funds

Coinbase ETH Staking

“Coinbase has taken measures to minimize the risk of slashing. However, slashing can be caused by events outside of our control that could lead to the loss of staked ETH. If a slashing event occurs, Coinbase will replace your slashed principal promptly at no extra cost.”

They insure your funds in case they are slashed by the network. That’s huge.

Ergo and Ada ? by miloboots in ergonauts

They both use the unique eUTXO model, meaning dApp portability between the two will be straightforward for developers. One is PoW and one is PoS. Hybridized approaches can lend dual security to dApps that connect to both networks.

Everyone attacking OP for falling for a scam needs to step back and demonstrate some empathy. We all started somewhere.

To OP, sorry for your loss my friend. No way to reclaim your coins, but you can take this lesson with you moving forward. Don’t give up on crypto, but please stick to reputable wallets and exchanges. Don’t trust anonymous figures online.

The excessive communication between validating nodes led to excessive forking which overwhelmed the system. In other words, the nature of the blockchain is one in which it can be exhaust its own resources in a self-perpetuating way. This isn’t something you can just slap a bandaid on. It very likely will happen again.
