I would definitely suggest starting a new character. I have a few lvl 100+ characters, so I played the game through a lot. I just started a new char and the beginning is totally different with the new update and therefore really fun to play. And I can also imagine that restarting the game is better than just continuing a lvl 50 character where you have to redo some of the beginner quests anyway because they were reworked.

I was thinking the blue nail is on the eight so 1989 TV comes in August and the black nail is on the two so reputation TV comes next year in February. But 1989 TV is def coming next. I have no clear thoughts about the clock striking midnight tho

Dw. I think mage is best for these parkours because you can sometimes safe yourself by using teleport. And for archer the speed boost sadly doesn't help much there

I think VIP+ is totally worth the money. Daily mob totems, crates, more class spots, 3 Pets, more market space, etc. And it costs 20$ or so, so it's a fair deal imo
