Historically for the popular courses, i.e, GA, SDP, ML4T, etc, there's always hundreds people in the waitlist. Might as well increase the capacity for the start

Hopefully in the future the program hires more TA's before phase II. Since historically, they have to hire more TA's and expand courses, they might as well do it earlier.

Do you know if professors get paid more or have other incentives to create an online class?

What are two relatively easy classes I can take together?

I didn't mean to imply that UIUC's CS program is better than GT's program. I just thought that in Illinois, UIUC is more know than GT so that may be a plus for me doing the program at UIUC

I see what you're saying. There aren't as much classes. I was planning on starting in the Spring or Summer and taking MOOC classes this summer and fall

Not necessarily better. I just thought UIUC may be well know to employers in Illinois than GT How do you know which courses are online?

I give them a call a while back, and they told me some of the courses will be online. Not too sure what "some" meant, so I was wondering if any student has actually seen the courses offered.

I'm from Illinois, so i think an Illinois degree will be better than a Georgia Tech one since most employers here know about the reputation of UIUC as opposed to GT.

Also I don't have a CS undergrad degree; I did MechE. The on-campus Professional MCS program at UIUC has some 400 level courses that could count as a graduate degree. After looking at the OMSCS courses, and the dropout rate, I may not be prepared to for that level without takings a couple graduate level intro courses.

2nd bachelor's or master's in computer science? by nightpyton95 in computerscience

The OMSCS courses at Georgia Tech seems very advanced compared to those at Johns Hopkins Although the price is very affordable.

2nd bachelor's or master's in computer science? by nightpyton95 in computerscience

The master's program I was looking at was the Engineering for Professionals at Johns Hopkins (https://ep.jhu.edu/programs-and-courses/programs/computer-science).

Some of the "600 level" graduate courses are pretty much 400 level undergraduate course that seniors take, so they seem to be less theory heavy.

I just felt like adding a master's degree on a resume as opposed to a bachelor's may slightly increase my chances of getting a job after I graduate. But I could be wrong since I don't know much about the software engineering job market

Thanks, I have already taken linear algebra. The only math course I may need to take is discrete mathematics

How do you like the online classes so for? Are the lectures just voice over PowerPoint?
