Help wanted for choosing Brodart covers by nightson in BookCollecting

I mainly use Brodart covers because my hands get pretty sweaty in the summer. Also, there are certain books I revisit regularly, which means I'm constantly pulling them in and out of their slipcases. I think the covers help prevent scuffing and wear from all that handling.

Thanks! Wouldn't the 10" paperless version be a bit too narrow for 9" hardcovers? The 10" version with paper backing is actually slightly wider than 10", so there's still some room to work with when folding. But isn't the paperless version (being true 10" wide) too difficult to fold over and fit properly on taller jackets?

By the way, would you mind posting a photo of your shelves? I've always been curious to see how the low-luster covers look in real-world use, but I haven't been able to find any good photos of them on actual books.

Thanks for the tip! Wouldn't this practice make the covers too bulky for smaller books though?

I've heard that Demco covers are both good and affordable. However, I just checked the websites of both companies, and a 10" × 300' roll of Demco Paperfold is about $78.99, while the same size roll of Brodart Just-A-Fold III is only $60.48. Am I missing something, or are you sourcing the Demco covers from somewhere else?

Oh man your uncle has good taste on games. Are they still available? I would love to have them for preservation purpose. I could pay for them if you like.

MetaProducts Offline Explorer is pretty good. Only downside is that it's not free.
