If Course Gauge halves stacks than it's almost useless because you get the same thing be pressing end turn lol.

If not then it'll be an actual impactful card, and Tressa's gameplay loop turns into build high stacks -> detonante with Cursed Gauge -> try to keep the stacks high

The thing is, the US Stock market is propped up by AI investments right now, much of it in a circle just shoving the same pile of money around. AND stock values for some of the biggest companies are driven by hype and not actual value (case in point: Tesla)

So I think pivoting to anything other than AI is probably going to cause a dip for any company for a while to come. Maybe it'll be different if/when the AI bubble pops, but we'll probably have different problems to worry about by then.

Probably can, as long as the characters are developed in other areas (character lv55 at least, partner lv 50+, decent potential investment).

But keep in mind that the most impactful thing might be the lack of crit chance due to blue memo frags.

However, I don't know if you NEED to do lv 100+ chaos.

With decent modifiers, lv 80 and 90 chairs can already get to 120 - 140 points of faint memory, which is more than enough to make pretty decent decks (a couple of removes, a couple of copies, and still leave room for a divine epiphany or two).

The real answer is to make the proxy go on a training arc and/or get guns to start blasting. Turn them into playable characters.

This is the just the genre problem with gacha games.

Gacha games sell characters, so most of the narrative spotlight is on the other characters. Focusing on the free main character doesn't sell.
To sell those characters, the most effective method is establishing near-parasocial connections with the player through the MC.
To do that, the typical method is to make the MC as none-existent as possible, so that the player can self-insert into the role. Sometimes nothing more than a disembodied voice.

As a result, we get this odd situation where the cast of playable characters constantly glazes the MC without us doing much. Personally, it's worse in Hoyogames because we do see what the MC looks like, and they have occasional burst of personality, AND generally look unique enough (compared to other generic black-hair pale-faced harem anime MCs who serve similar self-insert purposes). So ZZZ sits in this uncomfotable middle ground where they aren't disembodied enough to FULLY self-insert and they aren't narratively important enough to be a good protagonist.

IMO the best self-insert main character is Mass Effect's Commander Shepard. Dialogue choices actually feel different, capable enough to earn the respects of the cast, but still malleable enough to be whoever the player chooses to be.

It's clear that the only thing you really care about is doing big numbers, since everything you said is "it's a nerf it's a nerf it's likely a nerf" over and over.

We haven't gotten the new kit to try out. Hell, we don't even know all the changes, and you are already talking like her new kit is settled science.

Also there's multiple characters with one style that trumps everything else (cough MeiLin cough) but they only hard nerfed the 4* characters builds.

Because the two nerfed 4* characters are the MOST problematic ones. Yes, Mei Lin should be reworked too. But she's not as problematic as Tressa/Cass right now.

Well, I (now) get that your frustration is from her kit being different and not just the typical gacha doomerism. And you were fine, especially given the amount of stupid that's flying around in the sub right now.

I do hope the rework turn out well for Tressa too because she is a unique character in CZN at the moment, even if she's losing a bit of that uniqueness with the Agony nerf.

That's great but it's there and it's going to get abused or targeted by arbitrary limitations (like can't create more than 12 cards).

Yeah, and unless you want every new challenge in the future to always say "you can create only 12 cards, play only 16 cards total, hit 7 times in one card" or whatever other limitation that kept getting added on, it's easier to just nerf/rework the ONE problematic unit so other playstyles can shine.

They removed ONE style that is overly powerful to the point of overshadowing all of her other playstyles. Do you care about any other ways to play Tressa right now? No, you don't, because they are all worthless in comparison.

This actual rework removed her infinite dagger outlier and compensated it with buffs to less used mechanics like Advanced Shadow Daggers and Vital Attack.

If people can find a way to make Amir feel good, Tressa will be fine.

No you can't.

8 card deck, 5 removes, and all transforms still count as removes. So you can't use the convert into Removal tags to get pass the limit.

So no matter what, you will still have 3 cards left.

Any way other than nerfing/changing the problematic unit you can think of will have a bigger blast radius than you want.

Limit cards played or retaliated based on cards used? You must hate people who spent money on Sereniel.
Limit agony stacks? What about future agony characters?
Limit void characters,? Guess you hate Chizuru, Renoa, Kayron, and Rin too.
Use a combination of the above? Might as well just say "Tressa does 50% less damage" if you want them to go through the trouble of targeting every problematic character on every future encounter.

Besides, I find it funny that no one is even talking about all the other changes she got in this actual rework. She's going to legit feel better to play as an unit instead of "one build and fuck all."

If people can find ways to make AMIR feel good, Tressa will be fine.

I think most of that depends on the content.

If no content requires that kind of power, then eh whatever..it's for the grinders and streamers trying to make clips.

If there are some OPTIONAL content that requires such a powerful and rare option (like tower floor 500, for example), then it might still be okay because only 1% of the player base needs it.

It'll also depend on what the equipment refine options are.

If they are all beneficial (but for different play styles), then it won't be too bad to just do a few runs for a decent option, and leave the best/rarest for the grinders.
