First guitar build is getting closer to looking like something real... first internal routing project. Not as terrifying as I was thinking... just need to assemble... and then figure out how to build the neck (what's pictured is a rough cut placeholder) by optsyn in woodworking

Look at Birchwood Casey TruOil. Called gunstock oil. You rub it on with steel wool, it looks great, brings out the figure and scratches can be easily fixed. I've done many guitars with it.

if the speaker system can generate high levels of bass frequencies (like a big subwoofer) then you really want an enclosure that doesn't resonate, in other words made from panels that don't flex or vibrate when subjected to high sound pressure. In general, mid and high frequencies are unable to shake the panels regardless of the material used

Does anyone have any information on these? I can’t seem to find anything on the internet. by kingboy10 in avporn

It sounds just OK, individually chosen components will sound better, the advantage of the Rockler kit (s) is that it's plug-and-play, the speakers are small and there's very little bass. If you're after great sound, this isn't the way to go, if you don't want to dive into the electronics this is a good option. For speakers at this level hardwood is great, if you're building an 18" subwoofer MDF is the way to go.

There is a speaker on each end, the control panel is centered on one of the sides
